A new tech demo concept has surfaced online where we can see Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker roaming through the streets of a GTA-like world. Although it’s a demo concept fans are very delighted to see it and the clip has garnered thousands of views on YouTube.

Joaquin Phoenix’s version of Joker became an instant hit when he made his first appearance in 2019’s film of the same name. Recently, the filmmakers released the trailer for its sequel titled Joker: Folie à Deux. Pop culture fans have been excited ever since the release of the trailer and some of them are busy with developing creative reimaginings across various media.

One such reimagining has surfaced online where we can see Arthur Fleck (Phoenix’s Joker) parading through the streets of Gotham. The demo concept has been created by a popular YouTube channel called TeaserPlay and in the clip we see Arthur Fleck going about his business in a Gotham that Todd Philips’ 2019 film has inspired.

TeaserPlay’s History of Showing Developers How it’s Done

Previously, TeaserPlay has created reimaginings of movies, TV shows, and cartoons as video games. Some of their previous works have featured Star Wars and Shrek in open-world games. However, the reimagining with Joker looks like a perfect amalgamation of the GTA universe and Phoenix’s world. The world of GTA draws parallels from the real world filled with metro cities, criminal elements, and impoverished neighborhoods. Due to this realistic approach, Phoenix’s Joker fits right into this world.

The demo gives us a glimpse of what an open-world game with Arthur Fleck as the protagonist will feel like.
