As the clip shows, this iconic Chainsword looks like a sword with blades like a chainsaw attached to it, and players can use this weapon to cut through enemy hordes like they generally do with a chainsaw. However, gamers have found it kind of similar to another iconic weapon from the Gears of War franchise.
The Lancer Assault Rifle was introduced in the Gears of War series in 2006. At that point, it was a simple AR to deal with enemies, but soon the developers added a chainsaw bayonet to make it a deadly weapon with increased accuracy, lower recoil, and larger ammunition carrying capacity. Just like the Chainsword, Lancer Chainsaw Bayonet can also pierce through Locust hordes.
