From Fallout to Star Wars, Amazon Prime Gaming’s May 2024 Line-up Is Unmissably Amazing
The subscription service is offering nine free games this month.
Prime Gaming’s been going toe-to-toe with PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass with its monthly additions, and its line-up for May continues to impress. Almost a month after Prime Video’s success with its Fallout adaptation, Amazon Prime members can rest assured that although Season 2 of the series is quite far, they don’t have to wait long to head back into another chapter of the franchise.
That’s just the tip of the iceberg, as the subscription service is bringing more titles from other franchises as well, ranging from Star Wars to Tomb Raider.
Prime Gaming Gets in on Star Wars Day Celebrations
It’d be a missed opportunity if Prime Gaming didn’t include any video games from the iconic space opera franchise in its line-up for this month. So two days before May the 4th, the subscription added LEGO STAR WARS III: The Clone Wars to celebrate the franchise’s official day, and although it might not be a conventional title, it was actually quite well-received thanks to how it balances humor and action, resulting in a great experience for fans.
On the same day, Prime subscribers were also treated to one of the more recent Lara Croft adventures, Crystal Dynamics’ Tomb Raider reboot from the developer’s Survivor trilogy.
SUGGESTED: From Fallout to Halo: 3 of Gaming’s Best Adaptations (and 2 of the Worst)
The best part is that it is actually the Game of the Year Edition, so players will also get access to an additional Challenge Tomb called Tomb of the Lost Adventurer and multiple single-player outfits for Lara Croft. The edition further includes eight more maps and four characters for the multiplayer mode. After these two video games, the service will add Dark City: International Intrigue in a few days on May 9.
Amazon Is Not Letting Its Recent Success With Fallout Go
Those Prime subscribers who are already missing the post-apocalyptic world of Fallout will get another chance to return as the Gaming subscription is adding Bethesda’s 2008 action RPG into the mix on May 9.
SUGGESTED: 5 Games to Play if You Like Fallout
Like Tomb Raider, it is also the Game of the Year Edition, so in addition to the base game, fans will also get the five DLC packs released for it. These include Operation Anchorage, Broken Steel, The Pitt, Mothership Zeta, and Point Lookout.
May 9 will see the addition of two more games, called Nine Witches: Family Disruption and Electrician Simulator. The monthly free game line-up continues a week later, on May 16, with two titles called 100 Doors Games: Escape from School and The Forgotten City making their way to the subscription.
Finally, Spirits of Mystery: Whisper of the Past will end yet another stacked month for Amazon’s service, making a total of nine free games that the subscription is bringing in May.
