Timdog’s Surprising Revelation About COD and Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft’s renowned leaker Timdog, recently appeared on the Gamers Council podcast and stated something essential about Xbox and Xbox Game Pass. He claimed that Call of Duty may not come to Game Pass, and he pointed out multiple reasons behind it. Timdog sarcastically called it a ‘brilliant idea.’

Activision previously announced that their titles will start arriving on Game Pass in 2024. This raises players’ hopes of getting COD series on Game Pass, but the latest leak again closed the avenue.

The primary reason the leaker pointed out is the unsustainability of the Game Pass. Though the authorities claimed something different, especially, their CEO called it a profitable sector, the reality is something different. The latest reports show that six years after its initial launch the Xbox Game Pass hits 33.3 Million subscribers. So, Tim mentioned, with the current Game Pass condition, “the market they have is not enough to offset the cost.”

Further, Timdog expressed lots of concern about the current situation of Xbox and its future in the gaming industry as PlayStation and Nintendo are leaving it long behind in the competitive journey. The leaker said, that in the last three months of 2023, Xbox had “consoles for $350 and no one cared.” According to him, the hardware is going down every year and there’s no improvement.

So, no matter whether Activision Blizzard becomes a part of Microsoft or not, players will probably not get the COD games on Game Pass shortly. However, he posed a question on the future of Xbox Game Pass.
