SUMMARY
  • Dragon's Dogma 2 received average popularity among fans, and that's mostly because of its complicated in-game features.
  • The difficulty modes of the game were not at all balanced, which players have been complaining about for a long time.
  • Dragon's Dogma 2 Casual mode will change multiple features to make the survival process much easier for gamers, especially for newcomers.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is one of Capcom’s most-anticipated RPGs released this year. As a sequel to the 2021 game, Dragon’s Dogma, this game is set in a parallel fantasy world, and the gameplay received average popularity among fans. Initially, the game was released with multiple interesting aspects, including three different difficulty modes.

Multiple difficulty modes are common in RPGs, and they are generally designed in a way so that players can choose a suitable mode according to their skill level. However, for a long time, players have been reporting that the difficulty modes of the game are not properly balanced. Agreeing to their demand, Capcom introduced a new difficulty mode to the game.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Is Making the Game Suitable for Casual Players

Dragons’ Dogma 2 received a new update, which has introduced a new difficulty setting to the game.

When the RPG was released, players found the game interesting with multiple storylines and loads of boss fights. Even it was pretty hard for them to explore everything in a single playthrough, and one of the primary reasons behind it was the difficulty settings of the game.

The game was released with Easy, Normal, and Hard modes. However, soon players started stating that only the Normal mode gives the best gameplay experience. Some players even expressed that the Normal mode is more challenging than the Hard mode.

There were a few more complaints that required a fix, and combining these all, Capcom released a new patch note on September 17, where it addressed multiple issues. However, the most interesting one is the introduction of the Casual mode.

Capcom brings a new difficulty mode to Dragon’s Dogma 2, which is even easier than the Easy mode. It is particularly designed for newcomers without any experience in handling tough RPGs. This mode will allow them to enjoy the story without minding the complicated gameplay features that others need to keep in mind throughout the journey.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Casual Mode Features Are Unparallel to Begin a New Journey

The Casual Mode will open a new way for players to experience the game without minding the complicated in-game features.

No matter which Dragon’s Dogma 2 mode you select, multiple things need to keep in mind. Otherwise, the journey will be miserable. First, players need to have enough in-game currencies to stay at the Inns or change vocations.

Aside from the stamina loss during battles, taking care of the sick pawns, etc., are also some of the vital aspects of the gameplay in all three game modes.

Interestingly, the newly introduced Casual mode has changed everything. In this mode, as stated, Inn fees are reduced. Even changing Vocations will cost players less amount of money in this mode.

Apart from these, the new mode comes with a larger carrying capacity and less stamina drain when dashing out of battle, or the “Loss gauge” not increasing when you load the last save after dying.

Above everything, the most exciting part of this new mode is that pawns having the Dragonsplague will not trigger the “devastating calamity” even if they reach the terminal stage of the illness.

There are several other changes that the patch has implemented, but the Casual mode has drawn all the attention as it gives players new hope to begin the journey once again and complete it if they left it incomplete previously.
