Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero Fused Warriors Trailer Confirms the Return of Franchise Staple, Teases More New Footage Soon
Putting a literal spin on joining forces.
It had been a while since Dragon Ball fans heard anything new about the upcoming Budokai Tenkaichi, ever since the Master and Apprentice trailer was launched last month. Fortunately, that changed earlier today when Bandai Namco revealed another piece of footage that, to no one’s surprise, also follows a theme.
Not only does the Fused Warriors trailer for Sparking Zero put the return of a franchise staple in the spotlight, but it also serves as a teaser for more footage.
Fusions Are Coming Back in the Next Dragon Ball Game
Fans have already met long-term rivals; they’ve witnessed the potential of power and speed; and they’ve also gotten acquainted with important teachers and students. But what happens when two powerful beings are brought together to become one strong entity?
That’s the question that the new Sparking Zero trailer answers, as it showcases the Fusions from the source material in all their glory, starting off with Kid Trunks and Goten fighting against Dragon Ball Super characters Caulifla and Kale, respectively.
It turns out that even in their Super Saiyan forms, things are getting tough for Trunks and Goten, prompting them to perform the Fusion Dance and join forces with one another.
From the fused powers of the Saiyan warriors emerges Gotenks, but upon witnessing this, the opponents also unleash their Fusion ability by wearing the Potara Earrings, creating Kefla. However, the standout part of the Sparking Zero footage is Vegito taking on Gogeta, as the former jokes about how stupid the Fusion Dance looks and that losing to someone who was created through that “dumb-looking pose” would be shameful.
These are just the tip of the surface, as the combined result between Goku Black and Future Zamasu, called Fused Zamasu, is also being added to the roster.
Sparking Zero Confirms 21 More Characters and Leaves Fans With a Teaser
Adding up all of the aforementioned characters and their various Super Saiyan forms that are featured in the trailer makes a total of 21 new confirmations that will be heading to Sparking Zero’s expansive roster.

This marks the second consecutive trailer in which Trunks has been featured so heavily, as the previous Master and Apprentice footage confirmed two of his Sword variants. Considering his Super Saiyan forms as well, the upcoming Dragon Ball game now has four appearances by Vegeta and Bulma’s son.
Although the Fused Warriors trailer also ends with the dreaded “Wishlist Now,” it hypes the fanbase up to look forward to more footage that will be revealed at Summer Game Fest 2024.
Bandai Namco Entertainment was already set to be featured during the event, but the publisher has confirmed that it will be showing off more content from Sparking Zero on June 7. This change in trailer format could mean that an official release date may finally get revealed at the event as well.
