SUMMARY

  • This time, his response to Kick's co-founder led to a new controversy.
  • While this was enough, Adin Ross added more fire to it in his livestream.

Dr Disrespect controversies are kind of never-ending, as this renowned Twitch streamer often gets his name included in issues that further lower his reputation. His Twitch ban and then dramatic return already cost him his fame and followers. Again, he is in similar trouble with another streaming platform, Kick.

Kick is one of the newest streaming platforms, launched nearly two years ago on October 18, 2022. Gradually, this platform is becoming one of the toughest competitors to the Amazon-owned Twitch. During this rising phase, this live-streaming platform has gotten involved in disputes with one of the most controversial streamers of recent times.

Dr Disrespect Responded to Kick Co-Founder Edward Craven’s Statement

Dr Disrespect has once again been involved in a dispute with a streaming platform after Twitch.

Streamers getting banned from Twitch isn’t a rare scenario. However, the case of Dr Disrespect was much different than others, as he was banned from Twitch permanently for inappropriate conduct with a minor through private chat on the platform. This not only took him down, but it also affected everything associated with him.

After a long absence from streaming, this renowned streamer made a dramatic return. However, after his YouTube demonetization, his fans have been speculating that it’s probably time to switch platforms, and of course, Kick is the most potential alternative available to him at this point.

Recently, the co-founder of Kick made a statement regarding signing Dr Disrespect on the platform, where he clearly stated that the platform isn’t looking forward to signing this streamer and called it a “waste of money.”

In response, Dr Disrespect said, “I’d retire before considering streaming on Kick.” He continued that he has the best community in the industry that he doesn’t want to take to Kick.

This thing could have stopped here, but it was further dragged because Adin Ross joined this conversation with a bold declaration.

Adin Ross Accused Dr Disrespect of a False Statement

In the Dr Disrespect controversy, Adin Ross added further statements to stretch it to another extent.

According to the reports, previously, Kick was interested in having Dr Disrespect on the platform, but the deal never came to fruition because the streamer demanded a huge amount. The offer was $10 million per year, but the streamer demanded a minimum of $50 million per year and wasn’t ready to sign any contract below that amount.

Now, as this current argument between the streamer and the live-streaming platform came to light, another streamer, Adin Ross, appeared on the field, and during his stream, he commented that Dr Disrespect is trying to feed his audience a false statement.

Per him, Dr Disrespect’s claims aren’t at all true. He revealed,

It’s actually not true, by the way. I’m not going to vouch for you, but as someone that has equity of Kick, an equity owner, I can vouch that he was in serious conversations with Dr Disrespect about coming to Kick.”

He further continued that the deal was turned down because the streamer asked for too much money.

He boldly claimed, “So Dr Disrespect, don’t lie to the people. You were trying to come to Kick.

This dispute is getting stretched with Adin Ross’ involvement, and again, Dr Disrespect posted a sarcastic video on his X to respond to the statement of Ross.
