Its unique blend of gothic horror and Lovecraftian mythos allowed it to deliver an experience to its players that has continued to remain unique, even to this day.
The game has long been on the list of titles that gamers around the world hope to see remastered for the PlayStation 5, although there has been little to no indication that it would be a reality. However, some eagle-eyed fans may have begun to reignite the conversation with a recent discovery on Sony’s PlayStation Stars loyalty program.
Is Bloodborne on PS5 More Than Just a Hunter’s Dream?
There is no dearth of references to Bloodborne in other Sony exclusives, with a special armor set in Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Tsushima or an exclusive bot in the new Astro Bot sequel. However, these have only served to increase the fervor with which the game’s fans demand a current-gen remake for the game.
While PlayStation Stars has suffered a major outage over the past month and has begun to slowly return in specific regions, some Bloodborne fans soon spotted a listing for the game on the PS5, which they immediately posted about with a lot of excitement.
A Disappointing Discovery for an Excited Fan Base

While many fans would certainly love to see the beloved title remastered for current-gen consoles, some of them were understandably cautious about it.
Other fans were quick to dive deeper to find out the truth for themselves, which was not as exciting as they would have liked.
The discovery made other fans speculate on why the title could have been listed for the PS5 in the first place.

It’s highly likely that Bloodborne’s PS5 listing is indeed just a glitch despite how much the game’s dedicated community of fans may want it to be a reality. Considering that the link simply takes players to the page for The Old Hunters, the DLC for the base game, it is unlikely that a remaster is in the works at this time.
While fans remain optimistic that this could change in the future, it looks like this FromSoftware masterpiece remains locked at 30fps on the PlayStation 5 for now.
