GTA 6 is recently on top of the discussion. Speculations and rumors are throughout the community about the game, and the main reason behind this is Rockstar Games’ silence on the development. Over the last weekend, the news was circulating that GTA 6 faced further delays, but now these clouds of rumors have cleared.
The upcoming GTA installment is one of the most awaited games that millions of gamers have been looking forward to getting. However, the exact release date of the game hasn’t yet been stated.
Rumors About GTA 6 Getting Further Delayed Are Dismissed
GTA 6 has been under development for a long time, and except for a trailer in December 2023, Rockstar didn’t share any information with fans regarding this game. Therefore, players have been assuming things to fill the gaps and pass the waiting period.
Recently, an update started circulating that GTA 6 will be further delayed and probably miss the 2025 release window. This chain started with a community member posting it (the X post was deleted later) as breaking news that the game has been internally delayed. He even confirmed that his sources told him that the PC port of the game will come 12 to 18 months after the initial release.
This had blown the internet away during the last weekend, but finally, another update came from Jason Schreier, a Bloomberg reporter. He stated that the rumors are nonsense, as his sources, which are six Rockstar employees, told him that they didn’t hear about any delay.
At the same time, he alerted players that GTA 6 is a big game and there are several months left for the game to come, so anything can happen. However, a new update recently surfaced about Martyn Ware refusing an offer from the GTA franchise.
GTA 6 Offered Martyn Ware’s Band a Collaboration but Got Rejected
Heaven 17 is a renowned British synth-pop band, and one of its founding members, Martyn Ware, confirmed that the band got a music deal for GTA 6.
Rockstar wanted to get its 1983 super-hit song Temptation for its upcoming GTA installment. Ware posted about this on his official X handle to share the incident with fans.
The offer was $7,500 for each writer, and no future royalty was included. So, the band refused this offer.
Ware called it an “utterly unacceptable” deal for them, especially when GTA 5 earned “$8.6B gross.”
Therefore, according to him, this offer was too low to get the 1983 classic Temptation in GTA 6.
However, Rockstar Games is still silent about this entire matter.
