Xbox and PlayStation are the two biggest rivals in the console industry. They have been giving each other tough competition throughout these years to increase popularity. While almost all renowned titles are released on both platforms, some titles are exclusive to these platforms, and mostly they don’t want to give it to the rival.

That was the tradition for a long time, but recently, Xbox made some exceptions when Phil Spencer announced some titles to be released on PS5. While Starfield was not on the list, a sudden revelation twisted the situation and made fans upset about the entire matter.

Proving Phil Spencer Wrong, Starfield is About to Make Its PlayStation 5 Debut in 2024, Making Fans Disheartened

Starfield is Bethesda’s one of the most popular action RPGs available on Xbox and Windows. This game has received immense success and therefore, PlayStation players demanded this game on PS5. A recent X post of a fan @Silknigth hints at their wish to come true soon, as he revealed that Starfield will be released on PlayStation between November to December 2024.

Xbox games going to PlayStation is not something shocking, but what shocked players is that this news is contradicting Phil Spencer’s words. Though this news is not yet confirmed as the source is not verified, fans have gotten angry with Phil Spencer as a few days back, he stated that four Xbox games will make their way to different platforms, but Starfield won’t be among them.

Another game, Phil Spencer mentioned not to go multiplatform will be Indiana Jones. He mentioned that they don’t have any plans to hand over these two iconic games to their rival. Fortunately, there’s no news of Indiana Jones being released on PS5. @Silknigth also mentioned that Xbox has a bigger 2025 plan where they are planning to bring renowned franchises to the Xbox Universe.

However, players don’t seem to be convinced by this bigger plan part as the PS5 release of Starfield has pissed them off. Mostly, players agree on the same point that Xbox needs to show some faith in their platform and start providing players with straight answers. However, it’s too early to get upset as the information can be fake as the source is not verified.

What Are the Four Xbox Games Coming to PlayStation?

During an interview with IGN, a few weeks back, Phil Spencer stated, “I don’t think we should as an industry ever rule out a game going to any other platform. We’re focused on these four games and learning from the experience. We don’t have work going on, on other franchises.” Now, anyone can ask which games he is talking about. The games he mentioned to be going multiplatform are Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, Sea of Thieves, and Grounded.

Games going multiplatform is nothing surprising. For a long time, sources have been suggesting that Hi-Fi-Rush and Sea of Thieves will go multiplatform. These are the hugely successful Xbox games.

The Starfield information makes players feel like the prediction of XboxEra will probably going to be true. At the start of February, XboxEra claimed, that Microsoft is planning to release Starfield on PS5. However, whether this will come true or not can’t be decided at this point without any valid source.
