Counter-Strike 2 has returned to discussion with its latest leak. With its initial release, Counter-Strike 2 brought a significant change in the core gameplay of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. These changes impacted several areas of the game, including smoke physics, server tick rates, and most importantly maps. Counter-Strike 2 was released with a few maps for the test sessions, which include Dust II, Mirage, Overpass, and Nuke. However, there are several other maps that fans want to have in Counter-Strike 2 as well. Though Valve has been silent about these demands for a long time, recent news shows they exactly know how to impress players. Therefore, one of the most favorite maps of CS: GO is going to return in Counter-Strike 2.

Counter Strike 2 New Map Images Giving Fans a Ray of Hope To Get Their Favorite Map Back

Since Counter-Strike 2 was released, players seem not to be satisfied with the maps they have received. From the beginning, they are asking for their favorite maps, and finally, they are going to get it. Earlier on February 17, @FMPONE shared two map images with a caption that reads, “First look: Cache for CS2 🏭.

This has created a stir in the Counter-Strike community. This news should not be a false one because it is shared by Cache’s creator. So, this is potentially the first glimpse of the map that will later be introduced in the game. Though it’s only two images, it gives a solid idea of the map and what to expect from it.

Since CS2 was released, players have been asking for two of their favorite maps- Train and Cache. Though the former is still not included, the latter is going to come. If one looks at the images that FMPONE shared, one can clearly see the change in the aesthetics of the map. The upcoming map will come with a huge improvement in texture and lighting, along with the building structures.

The images show three white statues and all of them holding AK-47s in their hands. This indicates the inclusion of new assets. Ak-47 was not present in the older version of the map. However, that’s not the most interesting part of the images. There’s more to understand. One of the images shows the mid-vent that will lead players to a Bomb Site. Additionally, this time the sky is also calm and peaceful which replaces the older stormy sky.

Glimpse of New Cache Map in CS2

The upcoming Cache map will be different from its previous version in many ways, but still, it takes players down memory lane where they received the map for the first time. Initially, Cache was introduced in CS: GO with the launch of the “Breakout” operation. But later in 2019, it was replaced by the Vertigo map and entirely removed from the Active Map Pool.

The return of Cache in CS2 is like players returning to their past. Though the release date of the Cache map hasn’t been revealed, players are already prepared to say goodbye to the Vertigo. However, players need to wait a little for the confirmation of the Cache map as Valve is still silent about it. Until they announce the launch date, we can only hope to get it as soon as possible.
