Classic PS2 Title Rated for PS5 and Fans Can’t Stop Imagining Playing it in the Modern Day Again
Most PlayStation 2 games are now almost forgotten games with majority of them unavailable on PS5. However, it's time to check out a PS2 game which is going to make its way to PS5.
PlayStation is undoubtedly one of the biggest gaming platforms in the world, with millions of popular games to play. However, PlayStation has released different consoles over the years, and loads of games from the previous PS consoles aren’t currently available for players on the new-gen consoles. Precisely, games on the PlayStation before the PlayStation 4 was released have become obsolete for current players.
Undeniably, the previous PS Consoles had multiple blockbuster titles that created their fanbase for unique gameplay. Unfortunately, most of them couldn’t survive when the PS4 and PS5 were released. However, a recent update shares a piece of great news for the PlayStation 2 players as one of their favorite PS2 games is probably making its way to PS5.
After Years of Absence, A Renowned PlayStation 2 Title is Finally Coming to PlayStation 5, As Latest Reports Reveal
If you have been a PlayStation player for a long time and have played games on older consoles like PlayStation 2, you must remember the TimeSplitters series. Though this series only had three games, including the final one released in March 2005, it used to have a huge fanbase. However, PlayStation didn’t bring it to the latest consoles, and with time, players eventually forgot this game.
However, a recent post by Gematsu revealed that it’s time for the die-hard TimeSplitters fans to be happy, as the Taiwanese rating board has registered this game for PS4 and PS5. This has enlightened a ray of hope among the fans that maybe this game will also be included in the roster of PS2 Classics on PS Plus Premium.
SUGGESTED: All the Hits and Misses of PlayStation’s May 2024 State of Play, From God of War to Marvel Rivals
Since this news aired, TimeSpitters fans have been excited about experiencing first-person shooter games once again after decades.
Some of them have expressed their excitement by saying, “Yooo lets gooooo.”
Excited fans expressed their eagerness saying that they want it fast.
Though which game has been listed hasn’t yet been revealed, players have been assuming it’s probably TimeSplitters: Future Perfect. Therefore, some of them are asking for the second installments of the series to come on PS5.
Well, Future Perfect fans are also in the comment section, expressing their eagerness to play the games after all these years.
Apart from that, another highly anticipated PlayStation game of this year received a release date and a mind-blowing trailer a few days ago.
Get Your PS5 Consoles Ready for August 20 As One of the Most Awaited PlayStation Game Is Going to Occupy Space and Attention
If you haven’t yet realized which game we are talking about, let me tell you, it’s about Black Myth: Wukong. This third-person action RPG has received an impressive trailer during Summer Game Fest 2024, along with its official release date, which is set for August 20, 2024. However, the twist is that this game is not going to be released on Xbox on that day.
After the event, an update was released saying that the Xbox version of the game hasn’t yet been fully developed. So, in August, only the PC and PS versions will be released. Game Science revealed,
“We are currently optimizing the Xbox Series X|S version to meet our quality standards, so it won’t release simultaneously with the other platforms.”
Along with that, they have assured Xbox players to announce the release date shortly after they complete their standard checking.
The cinematic trailer that Summer Game Fest 2024 has revealed was impressive, but recently, another short trailer has been released to fuel the excitement of the fans. As these trailers show, this game is probably going to be one of the most attractive RPGs on PS5 this year.
However, until the game is released, everything is an assumption without any basis. So, whether the game does justice to Journey to the West or not will remain a surprise until August 20. In the meantime, as an avid gamer, if you are curious about gaming updates, do check out the return Rocksteady Studio has been planning.
