Call of Duty may have been fumbling lately, but Activision could turn things around with Season 4. The publisher unleashed the new trailer for the next seasonal update that’s about to take over Modern Warfare 3, Warzone, and Warzone Mobile. All three variants will be entering the season simultaneously, as has been the case with previous seasons, and there’s a lot to look forward to.

Ranging from fresh maps to exciting modes, the season includes plenty of new content to keep players busy.

Call of Duty’s Upcoming Season Goes Global in a Fiery Trailer

There is plenty to look forward to in the next season of Call of Duty.
There’s plenty to look forward to in the next season of Call of Duty.

The trailer for the upcoming season suggests that it’ll focus on the concept of time, as Activision teased the potential at the beginning and also in the description.

SUGGESTED: Months of Speculation and Years of Development Later, Ubisoft’s ‘Call of Duty Killer’ XDefiant Finally Has a Launch Date

With the introduction of new threats and a countdown leading to a detonation, the trailer also showcased the three maps that’ll be accompanying the update.

As the threat has escalated globally, the series is taking players to three fresh cities from across the world, starting off with Tokyo and its stunning neon aesthetics at night.

The Japanese city will not be the only aspect dripped in neon, as it will also bring operator skins, accessories, and weapons that help players fit in with the aesthetic. The next new map in the upcoming season brings the City of Lights to the community, as gamers will be taken to Paris. It is worth noting that while both of these maps will be available at launch, there are two others that will be added later in the season, called Incline and a variant of Das Gross.

Season 4 Comes With Three Major Game Modes

Two new games modes will be available at launch, while one will be added later on.

Although there are some minor game modes making their way to the series during the upcoming season, three of them stand out as the major highlights.

SUGGESTED: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Makes Huge Announcement in Time for Rebirth Island’s Return

The two exciting game modes that will be available at launch are Demolition and Hyper Cranked, whereas the remaining one will be added later on and is called Havoc. Fans of the franchise will likely be familiar with Demolition, as it has appeared in various installments in the past but has not returned since Activision’s first Modern Warfare reboot’s third season.

On the other hand, Hyper Cranked puts its own spin on the Team Deathmatch mode, forcing players to take out their enemies before a set time runs out because if they are unable to achieve the objective, they will explode. Havoc is also a returning game mode that was last seen two years ago in Modern Warfare 2, and with even more modes like Headshots Only coming soon as well, the season looks quite promising.

With a massive quantity of content making its way to the franchise, Activision needs to ensure that it focuses on the quality as well if it wants Call of Duty fans to stop looking back at better times and be thrilled about the future instead.
