Call of Duty has been around for decades now, and throughout the entire journey, Activision has faced loads of ups and downs with one of its most popular franchises. Players finally received their long-demanded Beast Glove update in Modern Warfare 3 to punch enemies across maps. 

Initially, when the Call of Duty franchise started, the games were praised for their story and action-packed gameplay. Players also loved the multiplayer mode to enjoy with friends. Though the multiplayer mode still exists, the story and action of the games are not as impressive as they used to be. 

Throughout these years, loads of other games have made their way into the FPS genre, and Activision has worked hard to maintain its fanbase despite this ever-increasing competition. Still, sometimes the developer brings some updates that seem weird and non-related to the core gameplay.

Recently, Detonated revealed that a popular and weird cosmetic item in the game, Beast Glove, received a bizarre update. In March, as part of the Godzilla x Kong collaboration, Activision introduced this glove that players can get by purchasing four $20 bundles. However, players never found it impressive to spend $80 without some eye-catching animation.

Suddenly, after months, Activision realized this and added an animation where it shows that hitting enemies with the glove will take them across the map.

The Beast Glove update is undoubtedly a bold and creative addition to the game.

Modern Warfare 3 is a hardcore game where, from the moment one lands on the map, they have to start fighting enemies to survive till the end. Therefore, the Beast Glove may fit when the fight is not crucial. Otherwise, when the enemy team is challenging, there’s no alternative to guns.

Keeping the core gameplay mechanism in mind, a lot of players find the Glove unworthy of spending $80. 

However, alternatively, some players even mentioned that this punching feature should have been included at the time the glove was introduced. 

There seem to be dividing opinions among players about the Glove and the new update, but one thing is for sure: this Beast Glove can’t match the core gameplay of Call of Duty.
