Black Ops 6 recently announced that it will bring back a notorious Call of Duty perk, but in a way that players never thought of.
- Black Ops 6 is about to release with multiple exciting weapons and equipment, but not all are satisfying.
- The latest blog post announced the return of a Modern Warfare perk, but in a different way.
- Players may not be happy with it, but fortunately, they have options to ignore it.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is almost at the doorstep. Since Treyarch announced this game, players have gone crazy about this upcoming installment in the Call of Duty series. Activision has been actively sharing updates about this game throughout the entire time, but a recent update has disappointed fans to a great extent as it confirms the return of a controversial perk.
Call of Duty games can’t be imagined without interesting perks, and players love to equip them to escape certain tricky situations. Though the scenario is pretty much the same in every game in the series, there are some exceptions where certain perks get negative responses from the player base. It looks like the upcoming game is about to bring a similar one but in a different way.
Treyarch Confirmed That Black Ops 6 Will Bring Last Stand, but There’s a Catch
Since the initial announcement of the game, players have received multiple updates, and they have shown complete trust in Treyarch to bring something extraordinary. However, at this end hour, the addition of Last Stand seems to have disheartened them to some extent.
The list of Black Ops 6 multiplayer perks was released previously, and players were totally satisfied with what they were about to get. The twist arrived when the developer pulled the curtain off from the field upgrades making their way to the game. It revealed that the controversial Last Stand perk is making its way to the game as a field upgrade, namely the Morphine Injector.
The history of this perk isn’t great. Initially, it was introduced to the series in 2007 with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
The Last Stand used to be a notorious perk, if one remembers, with it allowing players a chance to shoot enemies before death. With this activated, severely wounded players used to drop onto their backs and pull out the pistol to deal damage to enemies before dying.
Call of Duty players never really liked this, and therefore, the return of this perk in a new way hasn’t excited them at all.
More Information to Know about the Morphine Injector
Black Ops 6 will be released globally this week. Therefore, at this point, the excitement among fans is at the top. A recent blog post shared detailed information about this upcoming game and the Morphine Injector field upgrade.
The blog post released on Friday included detailed information on the weapons, perks, scorestreaks, and equipment coming to Black Ops 6. Expectedly, it shared more information about the Morphine Injector as well.
The description of this newly added field upgrade reads,
“For a duration, fatal damage puts you into a Last Stand state. Teammates can revive you or get a kill to self-revive.”
Additionally, it reveals that this is not early game equipment. Instead, players need to reach Level 44 to access this field upgrade.
Well, there’s no need to become upset about this field upgrade, as the game is going to offer ten more field upgrades, including Scrambler, Spring Mine, Tactical Insertion, Trophy System, War Cry, and more. So, there will be better options to choose from.
