Since it was released, the game has broken loads of records with its enthralling journey, which is continuing even after weeks. Black Myth: Wukong has surpassed a lot of records within a week of its global launch.

Black Myth: Wukong’s trailers were impressive. But it’s becoming one of the fastest-selling games of the year was not anticipated previously. This game has shattered Steam records within a few hours of its release. This unmatched success has generated an obvious curiosity about the next part of the game.

Previously, the rumors said that Game Science would release two DLCs before it brought a sequel to this game. Well, this has never been confirmed by the developer team. Now, as the excitement and hype about the game are still on, another update appears to give more hope to players.

According to the latest X (formerly Twitter) post, by Lunatic Ignus stated that a Chinese analyst named Daniel Camillo mentioned the upcoming Black Myth: Wukong DLC, which will be released early in 2025.

Even the tweet clearly stated that the teaser will come on December 12, and players can expect something big around January 29 to February 4th. Well, this is enough to stir the community, but this news hasn’t yet been verified as Game Science hasn’t talked about any DLC or sequel of the game.

Though the analyst mentioned a first-hand source he heard the news from, still it is not a guaranteed update for now.

Black Myth: Wukong Portrayed a Rich Chinese Culture Which May Not Work in the DLC

Black Myth: Wukong has portrayed a rich Chinese culture and heritage for the outer world.

Game Science started the project Black Myth: Wukong in 2018. It took six years to release this record-breaking game, which represents the Chinese culture in an impressive way to the outer world.

While this game is based on a Chinese novel, to give the visuals a more realistic touch, the art design team has taken inspiration from different cultural sites of China, including the Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou, the Jade Emperor Temple in Jincheng, and the Ten Thousand Buddhas Temple in Shanxi Province.

As Chinese music and Chinese heritage have heightened the aesthetics of the game to the next level, expectedly, Chinese gamers have also contributed significantly to these record-breaking sales of the game.

However, even after this, Daniel Camillo mentioned that his predictions say the DLC won’t perform as well as the base game and it will be purchased by less than 20% of the fan base.

As a reason, he mentioned, almost 70% of sales came from China, and those who purchased the game aren’t hardcore gamers.

Considering this, he predicted that as the national pride factor won’t anymore exist and the game’s story is too complicated with lots of challenging fights, most Chinese players won’t be interested in purchasing the DLC.
