By revisiting his past, we get a glimpse of how Jin’s relationship with his father shaped his life.

All Memory Locations in Ghost of Tsushima

Players will be able to find five memories in Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut. You will need to unlock four of these memories by yourself. Once these memories are unlocked, the fifth memory will unlock itself. The game will reward you with a new sword kit called Tempest’s End and gift you with a slight increase in reputation.

Memory of Sorrow

Located in the northeastern section of Iki Island in Thunderhead Cliffs, players will be able to find the Memory of Sorrow. Look for the Thunderhead Cliffs in the east of Yahata Lighthouse, overlooking the sea. Once the memory is unlocked, Jin will be taken back to a time during his childhood.

Memory of Foreboding

This memory can be found south of the location of the first memory. Go to the north of Yahata Forest to discover the Memory of Foreboding. Travel across the eastern shore of Iki Island and look for a shipwreck that forms an archway. In this memory, Jin will see a flashback where his father criticizes and addresses a group of men before teaching Jin a lesson about mistakes.

Memory of Kinship

Players will have to go to the west of the Cloud Forest Temple to find the Memory of Kinship. The memory can be found in the Senjo Gorge area of the map, which is situated in the southern section of Iki Island and is marked by a white tree. The place can be easily spotted by the presence of a torn battle flag on one of the cliffs surrounding the gorge. This memory shows a sweet moment between Jin and his father as they try to bond with each other.

Memory of Anguish

The Memory of Anguish is pretty easy to look for as it is located near the center of Iki Island. Players will have to go to the south of the Kemono Trail to find the Kidafure Battleground. This area was once a battlefield and can be easily spotted due to the presence of fauna in this place. Moss has grown in places where there used to be tall buildings.

This memory takes players back to a moment after the great battle. Players will find themselves in the village as the fire keeps engulfing the war-ravaged area.

Memory of an Unfinished Song

This memory is found at a location where players first step on Iki Island. This location can be found in the northern section of the island. Go towards the northwest of the Sly Hunter’s Forest and the northeast of Sentinel’s Peak, and you will be able to find another tree with white blossoms that overlooks the shore. This memory takes players back to a sorrowful moment in Jin’s life.

The memory unlocks the moments after the demise of Jin’s father as they collect his belongings and finish the song that Jin wrote for him. The memory ends with a messenger reporting about a large group of Mongol raiders approaching the island.
