All Haiku Locations in Ghost of Tsushima (Main Game)
Trying to locate all 19 Haiku locations? They are indeed tough to locate without any help.
Almost immediately after starting their Ghost of Tsushima journey, one thing players will realize is that this game has tons of things to explore and understand to progress through the game and complete 100% of the story. From side quests to mini-games, there’s no shortage of hidden activities for players, and solving Haikus are among them. Players can easily avoid them, but completing these side activities sometimes rewards them with valuable items.
Haikus are scattered throughout the game, and completing each of them will reward players with different headbands. So, they are one of the primary ways to give your character a personal touch. The only problem is that haikus are hidden, and locating them requires some effort. In this guide, we will discuss all the haiku locations in Ghost of Tsushima.
Ghost of Tsushima: What Are Haikus?
Haikus are nothing that the developers have invented for the game. Instead, these short poems have existed in the history of literature for a long time. Traditionally, haiku is a three-line poem, with the first and third lines having five syllables and the second line having seven syllables. Ghost of Tsushima didn’t change the concept.
In the game, players will be given three lines in all three rounds, and the line that suits the best from the given options needs to be selected to complete these rounds. Well, don’t think too much. There’s no wrong answer to any of these haikus. So, without any worry, choose the one you want to choose.

However, locating these haikus is not easy. Therefore, players may not be able to locate all 19 of them alone without any help. If you get stuck, go through the below locations for the required information.
Izuhara Haiku Locations
The first island of the game has the highest number of haikus to find. Throughout the island, players will find eight haikus, and below we have discussed their locations:
- Hiyoshi Haiku is not a singular one. Instead, this location has two haikus to find. The first one will be found on the south side of the Old Woodsman’s Canopy. Make your way to the top of Kukai’s Falls to locate the haiku. The next one will be found at the north end of Hiyoshi Springs, by talking to a man.
- Ariake Haiku will be found near one of the earliest locations of the game, Lake Izuhara. The haiku will be found on the small island in the lake.
- Azamo Haiku should be the next one to find, and players will find this one in the southeast Kuta Grasslands.
- Komatsu Haiku will be found after players make their way to Takuzudama Cemetery. From there, make your way to the north side, and you will find the Black Sands Inlet. There, you will find the haiku.
- Tsutsu Haiku will be the next to be found, and players will find it on the west side of Lake Kunehama.
- Kashine Haiku will be found after players reach the west side of Shigenori Peak.
- Komoda Haiku will be found after players reach Wolf Cub Falls. Search this location well to find the haiku.
Toyotama Haiku Locations
This is the second island of the game, where players will find five haikus to solve and get headbands to customize Jin’s appearance. Check out the below locations to find the haikus:
- Akashima Haiku will be found after players make their way to Old Kanazawa Marsh. From there, players need to head toward the south side, and they will locate the haiku.
- Umugi Haiku is the next one to be found. To find it, players need to go to the Field of Equinox Flower. Once there, start looking for the Moss Light Inn, and the haiku will be found on the east side of the inn.
- Otsuna Haiku will be found on the Musashi Coast. This location will be found on the westernmost side of the island. The haiku will be found there.
- Kushi Haiku will be found by the water between Little Monk’s Pond and Benkei’s Falls.
- Kubara Haiku will be located after players have reached Omi Lake. Make your way to the north side of Omi Lake, and you will find the haiku.
There’s an additional haiku that players can find while exploring the Toyotama island, and most importantly, this one is the part of the main story. The haiku is called the Ghosts of the Past Haiku. Players will automatically find this haiku during the main story mission of the same name.

Again, there’s another poem, The Proud Do Not Endure Haiku, that players will find as part of the side quest that you are going to explore with Yuriko. While the first one is a mandatory one to complete, the second one is again an optional haiku.
Kamiagata Haiku Locations
The final island of the base game has three haikus to explore and solve to get rewards. Below, we have discussed all their locations:
- Kin Haiku will be found once players reach the Iwai Village. The haiku is located on the west side of the place.
- Sago Haiku is the next one to be located after players have reached the westmost section of Kamiagata.
- Jogaku Haiku will be the final haiku to be found on the Whaler’s Coast.
Apart from these, a final haiku will be found immediately before the story of the game ends. That’s a mandatory one and can’t be skipped.
These are the haikus players need to find in Ghost of Tsushima. Though these are completely optional activities to get some new cosmetic items, players still need to complete them if they are looking forward to achieving 100% completion of the game.
If you are confused about these locations, you may get confused about other things as well. For example, you may get stuck while trying to defeat Khotun Khan or General Temuge.
