SUMMARY
  • Just last month, Treyarch and Activision revealed that they won't be following the Campaign early access approach with Black Ops 6.
  • Which means that every single mode in the next Call of Duty will launch simultaneously on October 25.
  • However, it seems like Kick streamer Adin Ross didn't get the memo, as he tried his best to play the title early.

Considering that it has been nearly four years since the last installment in the series, the excitement levels for Black Ops 6 are naturally quite high, as not only does it mark the return of arguably Activision’s most beloved studio, Treyarch, but it also looks like it is going to take the franchise back to the roots that made it so iconic in the first place.

With the kind of hype that the upcoming Call of Duty title has managed to garner even before its launch, it makes perfect sense for some individuals to try and get early access to the game while everyone else has to wait for a few more days. Being one of those aforementioned people, popular Kick streamer Adin Ross tried his luck with the next Black Ops entry, and to say that things did not go exactly as planned would be an understatement.

Adin Ross Pays a Heavy Price for Black Ops 6 Early Access

Thanks to the tradition that Black Ops 6 refused to continue, Adin Ross threw away a lot of money for basically nothing.
Thanks to the tradition that Black Ops 6 refused to continue, Adin Ross threw away a lot of money for basically nothing.

Just a few days after calling Dr Disrespect out for his comments regarding Kick, Adin Ross is once again in the news, but unfortunately for him, it may not be for the best reasons this time around.

During a recent stream, Ross claimed that he spent $5,000 to gain early access to Black Ops 6, but the moment he tried to actually start playing the game, he realized that the servers are not even live yet, making the physical copy that he has in his possession a complete waste until October 25.

According to the Kick streamer, putting the game on simply takes him to the Call of Duty HQ app, which is supposed to be Activision’s central hub for all things related to the franchise in the future, resulting in Adin Ross having to wait just like the rest of the player base to check the upcoming title out.

While this may not have been a problem with most other modern video games that do support early access phases, Treyarch and Activision took a different approach with the next Black Ops, as aside from the open beta period of the game, the developers wanted the entire experience to launch all at once for everyone around the world.

Which means that every single mode of Black Ops 6, including Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies, will be released as one complete package when the game hits the shelves later this week, with no way for anyone to play the title earlier than everyone else.

Fans Make Fun of the Kick Streamer’s Misfortune

The upcoming Call of Duty title will launch all of its modes on October 25, regardless of whether it is the Campaign or Multiplayer.

Regardless of whether the Kick streamer’s claims are true or not, the Call of Duty fanbase held nothing back when it came to its responses regarding the entire scenario.

For starters, the actual price of Black Ops 6 is not anywhere near the amount of money that Ross spent on the potential early access to the game, and even if it were, there really isn’t much time left for the title to officially be released anyway.

It is also interesting to note that Treyarch and Activision already revealed more than a month ago that they will not be opting for early access for their next Call of Duty title, so fans believe that a video game streamer as big as Ross should have known better before making such a drastic decision.

Apparently, this isn’t the first time that Ross has been caught up in a situation like this, but at least he doesn’t have to wait too long to play Black Ops 6, as it is only a few days away from launch.
