Activision is Making a Grand Entry to Xbox Game Pass with One of the Biggest Hits

Diablo 4 is finally coming to the Xbox Game Pass service. During the latest episode of the Official Xbox Podcast, the Xbox President Sarah Bond confirmed that Activision games will start making their ways to Game Pass and the chain begins with Diablo 4. She even confirmed the date of Diablo 4 coming to Game Pass- March 28, 2024.

Since the acquisition process got confirmed, it was certain that Activision games will come on Xbox subscription service. However, Xbox confirmed that the wait is going to be longer as no Activision game will come on Game Pass in 2023. Phil Spencer assured players that the acquisition is long-term and things can’t be changed overnight. However, Activision games will definitely come to Game Pass. So, all eyes were set to 2024 and with Diablo 4, players will now able to enjoy Activision games on Game Pass.

Diablo 4 is going to be the first Activision game to be released on Game Pass. There’s no clear reason behind choosing Diablo 4  to be the first. Well, one reason can be their aim to reach a wide audience. Since Diablo 4 is a paid game, many gamers have never tried this game. So, if it comes to Game Pass, the reach of the game will expected to be increase a lot. This may or may not be the reason.

Will Call of Duty Also Come to Xbox Game Pass?

Since Microsoft has acquired Activision, players are only curious about a long-desired game to come to Xbox Game Pass- Call of Duty. Initially, the news said COD wouldn’t come to Game Pass, but in the latest Updates on Xbox Business podcast, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer revealed all games from the first-party studios will be playable on Xbox Game Pass on Day 1.

This announcement has created a ray of hope among gamers as Activision Blizzard is among the fast-party studios. Additionally, they are going to launch the next COD title named, Call of Duty 2024: Black Ops Gulf War. If this game also follows this announcement, then, players can access Black Ops Gulf War on Game Pass on Day 1. Well, there’s still some confusion about whether this will apply to COD titles or not as generally COD games come with a hefty price tag. None of the COD games can be accessed for free (except for Warzone). Whether the developers agree to this condition or not can only be revealed with time. Players need to wait to see the results.
