“A reference to the…”: Helldivers 2 May Not Be on Xbox, but It Is Referencing Its Parent Company in Latest Major Order
Helldivers 2 trolls Microsoft for one of its latest worldwide outages.
Arrowhead has prepared a bunch of surprises for Helldivers 2 players. Released in February 2024, this game is undoubtedly one of the biggest releases of this year, with millions of players grinding through it even after hundreds of complaints and issues. However, recently, Arrowhead turned to a different track and showed a glimpse of its sarcasm.
The Helldivers 2 community is active with something always going on. Sometimes it is positive, or else it is negative, but there’s always some update. Recently, Arrowhead joined fans to create a parody of a recent Microsoft event. Fans found it hilarious.
Arrowhead Parodied One Recent but Unfortunate Microsoft Outage in the Latest Major Order
Every internet user must have heard about the CrowdStrike-Microsoft outage that hampered flight operations globally. This incident happened early Friday morning and caused flight cancellations throughout the world.
This has created an emergency in every sphere by flashing the Blue Screen of Death for Windows systems worldwide. From health to banking, everything that modern civilization depends on had been stopped.
This was caused by CrowdStrike’s disastrous Falcon update, and later, Microsoft disclosed that around 8.5 million Microsoft devices were affected during this incident. It expressed,
“While the percentage was small, the broad economic and societal impacts reflect the use of CrowdStrike by enterprises that run many critical services.”
Arrowhead has come up with a unique idea to make a parody of this occurrence. It has featured an in-game faulty cybersecurity update temporarily, which took down all surveillance systems on players’ ships.
More importantly, on its X handle, Helldivers 2 Media has posted about this matter with a caption, “A reference to the Crowdstrike-Microsoft situation.” Now, to fix this matter, the post has an instruction that states that in-game technicians should reboot their affected computers 15 times.
The developer has even instructed players to record their behaviors manually until the Destroyer Surveillance System is restored. This has made it clear that, though Xbox doesn’t have Helldivers 2, Arrowhead is not stepping behind when it comes to making fun of an incident.
Fans Are Surprised and Amused Seeing This Unique Sarcastic Content in Helldivers 2
The Helldivers 2 community is supportive. While it complains about the issues it faces, it’s always ready to welcome unpredictable content, and this temporary Destroyer Ship outage is definitely one of the most unpredictable things that happened.
