Best Strategy to Complete Spring Cleaning Mission in Act 3 Tier 4 MW3 Zombies
After going through the objective, one may wonder how a simple mission like this is the only task in Act 3. Apparently, this mission seems nothing complicated, but the fact is different. If you notice the mission properly, you can see this mission must be completed in the most difficult zone of the map. The infested stronghold must be located in a high-threat zone. Therefore, the apparently simple mission can become the most dangerous one in an instant if you dive into it without preparation.
So, before you jump in, first have a tier 3 pack-a-punch weapon, lots of Self-revive kits, armor plates, and required perks. These perks may include, Juggernog, Speed Cola, and Quick Revive. All these are free perks that players can easily acquire by completing missions. For detailed information, go through our guide on this: How to Find All Free Perks in MW3 Zombies
Apart from all these, infected strongholds are not safe to roam around without a Gas Mask. As you reach close, you will see yellow poisonous gas around the location. So, it is recommended to have a Gas Mask. Players can purchase it from a Buy Station for 1000 Essence, or they can have it from clearing the mercenary stronghold. Sometimes mercenaries drop Gas Masks. Otherwise, you must have it from random mercenary caches inside a Mercenary Stronghold. However, the second method can’t guarantee you a Gas Mask. It’s your luck. If you are lucky, you can get it on the first attempt; otherwise, you have to spend some time in search of it.
From the above preparation process, you must have understood that this mission can be done immediately after you start a match. You need some time to prepare these required items. Once you have collected all, open your tac-map to locate an infected stronghold. Search through the high-threat zone and mark one stronghold that you can clear.
From previous experience, you must have a good idea that the Infected Stronghold can be cleared once you eliminate all the cysts. Each stronghold has multiple cysts to destroy, but this target becomes challenging because the zombies won’t let you do that easily. Theoretically, this task may not seem challenging, but it is the most difficult one as a swarm of zombies starts attacking you from every side as soon as reach close to the stronghold.
This mission will be a difficult one even in the medium-threat zone, but this time, you have to enter an infected stronghold in a high-threat zone where the high-tier (level 3) zombies will welcome you. For this mission, we recommend having SMG or LMG that players can use without the frequent trouble of reloading. Alternatively, you can use a sniper to aim the cysts from a distance. Also, make sure you have enough ammo.
Once you are ready, travel to the Stronghold and start clearing the zombies. These undead creatures will start chasing you as you reach close to the stronghold and even inside the the stronghold, you will find lots of zombies. We suggest not staying inside the stronghold for a long time. Attract the zombies outside and kill them. Staying in a closed place can go against your strategy. Check both floors of the stronghold to find all 15 cysts. The number is surprising, but make sure you have eliminated all the cysts to complete the mission.

Fortunately, this mission doesn’t require you to exfil. As soon as you clear the infested stronghold and survive, the mission will be completed.
Rewards For Completing the Spring Clearing Mission
Rewards are the primary motivation behind completing missions. So, all MW3 Zombies missions give players rewards to boost their minds for completing quests. If you successfully complete the Spring Clearing mission, you will get the following rewards:
- Death Rig Sticker
- 2500 XP
Though the first reward is not something very useful, the second one can instantly increase your level. If you are trying to level up faster and unlock new perks and equipment, XP can be the best reward for you. So, having a squad or at least a friend may help you survive and complete the mission in a single attempt. Otherwise, you may need a few more attempts.
That’s all you need to know about how to complete the Act 3 Tier 4 mission Spring Clearing in MW3 Zombies. Though this mission can be done alone, we still suggest bringing at least one teammate. Zombies in the high-threat zone can’t be taken lightly at all.
