How to Get Fate Fabric in Hades 2 (and How to Use It)
The threads of fate await.
Hades 2 has a brand new gameplay mechanic called Incantations that is crucial to both its narrative progression and RPG elements. Melinoë’s talents as a witch allow her to use Resources she finds out in the open to improve her powers and unlock new characters and locations.
She does this at the Crossroads, a central hub in Hades 2, from where she can access different locations in the Underworld and on the Surface. While many Resources can be found in the game, some are easier to get than others.
The Binding Ties of Fate
Fate Fabric is an important Resource in Hades 2, allowing Melinoë to unlock a lot of important Incantations, and is fortunately easy to find in the game’s world. What’s more, Melinoë never has to worry about running out of it as long as she knows where to look.

Woven by the Fates, this Resource is significant to progress at every stage of the story and is even necessary in gaining access to other Resources like Shadow and Moon Dust. It’s time to learn more about where to obtain Fate Fabric and what to use it on.
How to Get Fate Fabric in Hades 2 (and How to Use It)
There are four different ways to obtain Fate Fabric in Hades 2. The easiest of them is to buy it outright from the Wretched Broker for 60 Bones. You will need to spend 10 Bones on the Summoning of Mercantile Fortune Incantation to bring the Broker over to the Crossroads, which is a great idea considering that he sells a ton of useful Resources and is easily accessible.

Next, the spider Arachne in Erebus gives Melinoë some Fate Fabric from time to time, including when she selects any of the armor sets on offer at her store. However, the amount you get from these interactions makes it inefficient for later stages of the game.
Like the Wretched Broker, Charon is another great source of Fate Fabric after you perform the Rise of Stygian Wells Incantation. Once again, you can buy as much of it as you need, as long as you have enough Obol Points to do so. Note that you will need Moly and Nightshade for the Incantation to unlock Charon.
Finally, completing certain tasks from the Fated List of Prophecies for Moros can earn you some Fate Fabric. The Doomed Beckoning Incantation that summons Moros requires Fate Fabric and Nightshade, so holding off on this method until you have accumulated a fair amount of both resources can be a good idea.
With getting your hands on Fate Fabric now out of the way, it’s time to look at its uses. In addition to the Doomed Beckoning Incantation, the Rush of Fresh Air Incantation to summon shrines of Hermes between surface regions and the Propensity Toward Gold Incantation require Fate Fabric.
The Empath’s Intuition Incantation uses Fate Fabric to grant Melinoë the Book of Shadows, which is important in progressing narrative storylines with individual characters. Abyssal Insight unlocks the Pitch-Black Stone in the Training Grounds as a valuable source of Stardust.
While all of the above Incantations are important in their own way, the Consecration of Ashes Incantation is significant as it allows Melinoë to upgrade her Grasp and Arcana Cards, an important part of upgrading her arsenal of attacks.
With the game in early access, it is likely that Fate Fabric could find many more uses as the game nears its final release. But until then, our Hades 2 guides can help you make the most of your time with Melinoë and the Greek pantheon.
