Helldivers 2 is finally finding its footing among the gaming communities once again, but even with the constant updates that Arrowhead Game Studios has been releasing, there are still some crucial aspects that are awaiting their return. These are a few elements that were present in the first installment but have not really made their way into the sequel.

It took a while for Johan Pilestedt and his team to introduce the highly anticipated Mechs in Helldivers 2, but it seems like the developers are awaiting just the right time to make more additions to the otherwise excellent third-person shooter title.

A Major Enemy Type From the First Game May Have Already Made Its Way Into Helldivers 2

The Automatons may have triggered a new enemy type in Helldivers 2 with one of their recent moves.

At this point, it is not really surprising that Arrowhead Game Studios will keep introducing new enemy types for the longevity and freshness of its live-service video game.

However, the standout aspect of the latest enemy-type sightings in Helldivers 2 is that fans of the original title may already be familiar with the upcoming threat.

While players may have initially mistaken these sightings as a type of Hulk, they quickly realized that these enemies are much bigger than the ones the community is used to.

They shared way too much resemblance with the tyrannical Warlords from the first Helldivers, and anyone who is aware of the lore behind them knows that they will prove to be a significant threat to freedom and democracy. Spotted on the Automaton frontlines, their appearance’s trigger point could have been when the bots recently brought freedom to Cyberstan’s Cyborgs, adding even more numbers to their ever-growing armies.

But the Cyborg society could be nearing an extremely dark time, as before Helldivers 2, the Warlords used to have complete control over it during the events of the original game.

Even the overpowered lasers could prove to be useless against the upcoming Warlords.

Back in the days of the first installment, the Warlords used to be formidable opponents and came with stats that could easily obliterate the Helldivers army, as they were some of the most Elite enemies in the game.

SUGGESTED: After Helldivers 2’s Huge Success, Sony Gears up to Expand Its Live-Service Portfolio With Concord, Launching This Year

Fast forward to Helldivers 2, and the incoming threat might get even worse for the players, because if Arrowhead Game Studios has given upgrades to other returning enemy types like the Hulk, it remains to be seen what the developer will equip the Warlords with.

With terrifyingly high resilience and danger levels, along with heavy armor protecting them from the majority of the attacks, the Warlords were scary enough in the original game, so how much stronger can they be in the sequel?

Regardless, Johan Pilestedt and Arrowhead are always on the lookout to implement new elements like the Warlords in their smash hit, and although they might take some time to reach their full potential in the game, they are usually worth the wait.
