Pelican 1 is one of the biggest demands players have been asking from Arrowhead for a long time. The latest scenario shows that even the CEO of the company is aware of this wish of the Helldivers 2 community, but he hilariously stated their upcoming plan about not bringing Pelican 1 to the game.

Recently, Helldivers 2 Media shared a post about Pelican 1 with the caption, “What if… Pelican 1 joined the fight?” He illustrated some advantages and disadvantages of the gigantic machine during a mission, and Pilestedt agrees with him in a comment. This comment initially provided players some hope, but the next moment, all hopes were shattered.
Following the demonstration of Pelican 1’s working process, another player asked, if this machine is for air support, and why it takes 2 minutes to pick players up. Again, the CEO replied, and this time he said, “This is the only reason why it hasn’t been done yet.”
While it almost confirms that Helldivers 2 is not going to get this feature at all, or at least the developers have no plan to consider Pelican 1 as part of the game shortly, players still continue making jokes about this feature. Pilestedt Teases a New Crossover That Would Make Helldivers 2 Game of the Year

On Twitter, a Hellddivers 2 fan shared his experience of playing as a Star Wars character in the game. He tagged his teammates and revealed, “Fantastic experience that really gave a glimpse of how awesome a Star Wars COOP game like Helldivers 2 would be.” He even shared some of their gameplay glimpses in the post.
In the comment section, another player placed a new idea about having a predator live event where Helldivers will be hunted by the predators and predator armor will be the reward for the survivors. Interestingly, Pilestedt replied to him, saying what if the game had an alien predator “that were exiled from the galaxy that was planning vengeance!”
Now, that’s assumed to be one of the biggest upcoming crossovers that he has been talking about. Maybe this can take the game to the Game of the Year title. Though the CEO stopped there without any further detail, players have been assuming a lot from this little announcement he has made.
