The new season of Apex Legends has brought loads of new features to the game, including one game mode to bring the early days back.
- Apex Legends Season 23 is already live since November 5.
- This new update has brought two exciting features to the game; one of them is a melee weapon.
- Even there's a game mode that will bring the old days back in Season 23.
A new season of Apex Legends is on, and there are a bunch of new additions to the game. Since its release back in 2019, it has created a massive player base that constantly grinds this hero-shooter. Over the years, Apex Legends has brought loads of interesting updates to win the crown of one of the best first-person hero-shooter games. To date, with each new season, the developer team takes the gameplay a step forward.
However, Season 23 is a little different. Indeed, this new season has brought multiple new features that should be explored and understood to enjoy the gameplay, but there’s something that will take players back down memory lane.
Newly Introduced Features Mark the Beginning of Apex Legends Season 23
If you are a regular Apex Legends player, you must know that the new Season From The Rift has already been running for a few days. Currently, the game has several aspects to explore, but Rift Relic and Raptor’s Claw have drawn the spotlight.
Rift Relics appear from unstable cosmic portals and provide players with relics that offer weapons and perks that players need to survive the match. Interestingly, sometimes Rift Relics can give players an EPG-1 Launcher with infinite ammo. The little twist is that Rift Relics can appear randomly throughout the match.
The next item that has gathered tons of popularity is the Raptor’s Claw. This is the latest added universal melee cosmetic. Once players acquire it, they can access Crystal Chamber Deathbox and 5 other deadly variants. However, it should be noted that Raptor’s Claw must be unlocked through the Void Mercenary Store, and that’s also during a certain period: from November 5, 2024, to January 7, 2025.
Apart from that, From The Rift has brought two new Support Class Perks. One of them is the Heal Expert perk, which allows players to move faster while healing, and the other one is the Revive Speed perk, which will help players heal allies faster.
Apex Legends: From the Rift Takes Players Back to When the Journey Was Started
Generally, with updates, players go forward in their journey, but sometimes it looks cool to get back to where the journey began. After Fortnite started bringing back the OG maps in the latest seasons, Respawn Entertainment has followed the same path in this latest Apex Legends season.
From The Rift has introduced a new mode named Launch Royale, where players can experience the original map of Kings Canyon. Launching this mode will take players back to the time when this hero-shooter game was introduced in 2019. Here they can only play with original legends, weapons, and equipment. So, basically, it will take players to a time when there were no Evo Armor or Ability Upgrades available.
At this point, the reference to Lifeline is a must, and fortunately, she is also back with all-new abilities and strengths. This revive has provided her with a new power of teleporting DOC to the allies who require it. Additionally, she can deploy forcefields to make healing more effective for the entire squad.
This is indeed a massive update to grind and understand for all the Apex Legends fans, especially those who missed the initial days of the game.
