Fortnite is renowned for collaborations. There are only a few franchises that have never collaborated with Epic Games to bring content to this popular battle royale. However, in these seven years, the game has never collaborated with any politician to promote election campaigns, until Kamala Harris pioneered this trend this year.
Kamala Harris Is Targeting Gamers to Win Upcoming President Election 2024
Fortnite is the most renowned game that brings big collaborations frequently. Though sometimes Epic Games messes things up, collaboration content mostly receives loads of love from gamers. It is clear that Fortnite collaborations address a wide range of gamers; otherwise, one of the potent US presidential candidate probably wouldn’t have chosen it as a means to reach young voters.

In this final hour, the U.S. Vice President has chosen a completely unpredictable path and reached out to Epic Games to access the gaming community, which mostly consists of young people.
As a consequence of her partnership with Epic Games, on October 28, Fortnite received a new map: Freedom Town, USA. This is a custom creative map, and players can access it by using map code 7331-5536-6547.
Most importantly, unlike other maps, this one came to the game with a proper trailer showing the map. Furthermore, Kamala Harris’ official channel shared it on YouTube.
The Latest Promotional Fortnite Map Focuses on Exploration With Some Unique Elements
Well, the video game community is huge in the United States, and it’s a fact that sometimes these games impact the minds of gamers, especially the young generation. So, this is not the first time a political entity has targeted games. Previously, former President of the U.S., Donald Trump, also highlighted the impact of video games but in a negative light.
The U.S. Vice President didn’t take the same point of view, and the map that was introduced to promote her campaign includes thorough exploration. It includes some of Harris’ campaign highlights like tax breaks for small businesses, an emphasis on affordable housing, etc.
Even political in-game signboards, custom models, themed audio cues, etc., are added to the map. One of these cues interestingly includes a line from her rival, former President Trump, which says, “they’re eating the dogs, eating the cats.”
This has not only made the game interesting but the campaign procedure has also taken the excitement about the election to a new level.
Presently, the map has been promoted by several partner streams by Fortnite content creators, including Jordan “Huskerrs” Thomas, Himalyahs, Morgan “MODELMORG” Pope, and Khairi “Kdot” Harris.
