SUMMARY
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is live and has already started bothering players with different issues.
  • Though Activision hasn't admitted it, players reported facing the most annoying server issue.
  • Aside from that, a lot of other problems have been bothering players since the latest installment was launched.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is here, and just after its arrival, the game invited criticism from fans for the same issue that often bothers gamers while trying to access online games. Reportedly, just after the latest installment of the series was released, players lost access to the game.

Black Ops 6 is the seventh major installment in the sub-series, and like other series, this one also has a decent fanbase. Considering the popularity it earned during its beta run, the current excitement was expected. However, the most familiar issue immediately impacted the experience.

Activision Servers Logged Gamers Out in the Middle of the Campaign

Black Ops 6 started showing annoying issues immediately after its global launch.

Black Ops 6 was one of the most anticipated games of 2024, and fans had been looking forward to getting their hands on it for a long time. Therefore, it was predicted that as soon as it launches globally, players will dive into it. However, this caused the Activision server to go down, disconnecting players immediately.

While the Black Ops 6 Campaign is getting much appreciation, some players have been facing the connection loss issue. On X (formerly Twitter), one fan posted a gameplay clip where he was suddenly kicked out of the game.

Though he was playing the single-player Campaign, according to him, other game modes, including Zombies, also faced the same issue.

The entire frustration went out on the DRM protocol, and he claimed that online DRM should be removed. If you are unaware, online DRM requires players to connect to the server to prove authenticity and access games. Initially, DRM, or Digital Rights Management, was introduced to prevent unauthorized copying, but the always online version of it often creates problems.

Despite Activision stating nothing about any server outage in the last few days, the Call of Duty Downdetector showed that players reported facing the disconnecting issue repeatedly.

Call of Duty Players Were Super Hyped About Black Ops 6, but Issues Persist

Since the game was released, players have been facing different problems.

Call of Duty games can’t be imagined without some issues, and players are kind of used to all these. Now with Ricochet going full AI-based, things will probably go worse in a few days, with cheaters and hackers potentially capturing all the game modes.

Before all this, gamers were excited about the latest installment.

A few of them even took a leave from their workplaces to grind the game at launch.

However, some players who had already been playing the game revealed that they were enjoying all three game modes.

Along with that, a few issues appeared, as multiple players complained that despite having a Game Pass subscription, they couldn’t access Black Ops 6.

It seems like this inaccessibility issue was bothering players on all platforms, irrespective of whether they play on PC or console.

These are common issues that almost all online games face. Even though Activision acknowledged nothing, it will hopefully fix these problems to make the experience smooth.
