PlayStation’s Concord Lives on in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s New Show, as Release Draws Close
Prime Video's Secret Level show is bringing Concord in one of the episodes, and that's not changed even after the massive fall of the game.
- Secret Level is not too far, and loads of renowned games will be featured in the episodes.
- Concord is one of the games that's included in the gaming anthology series.
- With a few more announcements, the show creators released the voice cast list full of big names.
The spirit of Concord is still alive. As the release date of Prime Video’s video game anthology show, Secret Level is coming close, speculations about the show are getting wild. Prime Video’s upcoming animated anthology series was initially announced at Gamescom 2024 with a mind-blowing trailer showing loads of titles that will eventually make the episodes of the show.
Among these immensely popular titles, there was one that didn’t attract attention at that point but has become a discussion topic now.
Being an avid gamer, you must already have guessed it. Yes, it’s Concord. If some of you are curious about the game, well, it’s unplayable now. The running period of the game was only two weeks, and that’s the reason this game has come to the discussion once again as the biggest gaming anthology series is approaching.
Concord Is Gone From PlayStation but Not From Gamers’ Minds
Since this game was announced, its fate was determined. Players started accusing it of copying features from renowned shooter games. However, on August 23, the game was released, and within two weeks, PlayStation removed it from the market entirely. Sony was so desperate to cover up for this disastrous failure that it even took some peculiar steps.
Though the discussion about the game had already been stopped, players haven’t yet forgotten this game. Therefore, as the release of Secret Level comes closer, Concord is once again coming into the light.
Secret Level is releasing on December 10, and this show will feature episodes on massively hit games like Armored Core, Sifu, Warhammer 40K, Dungeons & Dragons, God of War, etc. Despite Concord being on the list, a lot of gamers assume it will be scrapped after becoming arguably the worst game of the year.
Anyway, that’s probably not the case, as the list was made before the game met this pathetic fate, and at this last moment, it will likely be risky for the show to do this.
Secret Level Creators Confirmed That the Tragic Fate of Sony’s Multiplayer Shooter Won’t Affect Its Show Appearance
While the Concord speculations have been constantly getting intense, Tim Miller, one of the creators of the show, talked about it during an interview session at New York Comic Con. When he was asked about the controversy, he clearly mentioned that the episode based on this game wouldn’t be removed as the show creators have been working on it for a long time.
He expressed that games often meet tragic fates; therefore, he opined, “I can’t see any reason why it shouldn’t be part of the show.” He even expressed that he genuinely wants the game to get another chance.
However, during the appearance at the New York Comic Con panel, the voice cast of the show was also revealed, which includes some of the biggest names like Arnold Schwarzenegger from the Terminator franchise, Patrick Schwarzenegger from The White Lotus, Kevin Hart from Jumanji, Gabriel Luna from The Last of Us, Heaven Hart, Emily Swallow, and several more.
These names have only been announced, as it’s still unclear who’s going to voice which character in the show.
Secret Level is an exclusive Prime Video series that players can watch on the app starting from December 10, with two episodes streaming per week.
