Is Red Dead Redemption 2 the Next Game to Take Advantage of the PS5 Pro?
Red Dead Redemption 2 is on its way to get a PS5 Pro port, as current leaks suggest, though it's not as simple as it looks.
- It's almost time to get the PC port of Red Dead Redemption, and again, one leak suggests something unexpected.
- PS5 Pro will get the updated versions of different games, and it seems Red Dead Redemption may be one of them.
- Players are not willing to buy this update, as they are sure it's fake.
Red Dead Redemption 2 fans may have something exciting coming. Since October has started, new updates and speculations have been showering on gamers. This is the time when most games release their Halloween content to make the celebration special. However, at this point, Rockstar fans are eagerly looking forward to receiving GTA 6, but the updates are indicating that the studio is more actively working on the Red Dead Redemption series.
Red Dead Redemption is one of the eminent gaming series by Rockstar that provided its fans a break from the dominance of Grand Theft Auto. Recently, rumors about this series have been in the air, with a new one recently making its way in there.
After Red Dead Redemption PC Port, Rockstar Games Is Planning a Red Dead Redemption 2 Port
Rumors often become true, especially in recent times, when leakers have been doing a great job collecting news. Within a few days of the Red Dead Redemption PC port leak, Rockstar’s official announcement on it arrived. Well, the game will come on PC toward the end of October on the 29th.
Players have been eagerly anticipating the release of GTA 6 after the announcement of Red Dead Redemption‘s upcoming PC port. Disappointing them, once again, a new leak suggests that Rockstar is working on a new PS5 port for Red Dead Redemption 2.
On October 21, Timur222 first highlighted this update on X (formerly Twitter), where he posted a screenshot of a Rockstar employee whose LinkedIn profile mentions, “Red Dead Redemption PS5/Switch Release.”
Notably, the profile holder, Emma Anderson, is a production coordinator at Rockstar Games. Therefore, this is most probably not a random mention.
Since this has come to light, fans have been assuming whether Rockstar Games is preparing the next-gen version of Red Dead Redemption 2 for PS5 Pro. The context for assuming the sequel and not the first game lies in the fact that it doesn’t make sense to develop a PS5 Pro port of the latter when the PS4 and Nintendo Switch ports of the game were released only one year ago in 2023.
Anyway, the screenshot clearly mentions Red Dead Redemption, which makes things more complicated, as none of these games are on PS5.
Rockstar Fans Responded in a Different Way to Show Their Least Interested Attitude
Generally, whenever speculations or leaks about a renowned title come to air, players jump to discuss it, which clearly shows their attitude toward the topic. Though the Red Dead Redemption series has a stable fanbase, it seems like fans are not willing to get these games on other platforms after so many years.
Like the PC port of the first title, the rumor of the PS5 port of the sequel got mostly negative comments from fans. A lot of them commented that this was false information.
A group of fans are unwilling to believe that it’s about the 2018 game. According to them, it’s Red Dead Redemption, as the profile mentioned.
Some of them mentioned the PS5 is a typo, and the Rockstar employee probably tried mentioning the PS4 release of the game.
The argument is already going on among the community about whether the base Red Dead Redemption game is coming to PS5 or the second, or whether any of these are actually coming.
Well, as PS5 Pro is almost here, of course, a few games will get updated versions to provide gamers with an advanced experience on the upcoming console.
Whether Rockstar is really bringing the 2018 title to that list can only be confirmed when the official news arrives.
