If you have played Dark Souls 2, you must be aware of the Twinblade and its effects. This powerful, fav-favorite weapon has returned to Elden Ring with increased power and stats. If you don’t only want to defeat the enemies but tear them into pieces, you won’t get any better option than Twinblade. If you are unaware of the weapon’s stats, let me tell you, Twinblade is basically a dexterity-focused weapon that mostly launches rapid slashes and deals massive damage to opponents.

Twinblade has versatile attacks where players can launch vertical slashes with one-handed light attacks and sweeping attacks with two-handed light attacks. But the deadly attacks are the jump attacks which are two-handed attacks and deal massive poise damage to enemies. Twinblade also has a powerful Weapon Art called Spinning Slash, which is basically a multi-hit combo that consumes a small chunk of FP. Players can use this ability twice back-to-back in quick succession. Using it twice in quick succession causes you to launch a flurry of attacks which drives you forward while slashing enemies.

Finally, the Power Standing makes the weapon launch a combo of vertical and horizontal slashes. These combs can stun even the most powerful enemies of the game. Additionally, players need to have 10 Strengths and 18 Dexterity to wield this weapon.

Where to Get Twinblade in Elden Ring?

In the Lands Between, all the weapons are hard-earned. Players can’t find them easily, and this rule is applicable to the earliest weapons of the game. Twinblade is one of the early game weapons but is an exception to this tradition. Players can easily find the weapon inside a chest in the Dragon-Burnt Ruins. If you are unaware of the location of the ruin, it is located southwestern side of Agheel Lake. This is the lake where you will have to fight one of the strongest bosses of the game Flying Dragon Agheel. That’s a separate story, though.

So, the first thing you need to know is how to reach Agheel Lake. Being one of the early game areas, this lake will be accessed easily. There are two ways to reach Agheel Lake in the Elden Ring. The first thing you can do is to follow the road southeast from the Gatefront Ruins to reach your destination and the second way you can take is to head down the ledges to the southeast of the Church of Elleh.

Once you have reached the lake, go to the southwest side of the lake and you will eventually locate the Dragon-Burnt Ruins. Don’t bother about the ruins, and start progressing to the south side. At the south end of the ruins, you will find a staircase going underground. Climb down and you will reach in front of a liftable door. Lift the door and you will see a chest behind it. Open it and the Twinblade will be inside.

To acquire this weapon, you don’t need to fight the Flying Dragon Agheel. You can avoid him and get the weapon first. Then if you want you can start the fight. Now, if you have fought the dragon and missed this hidden chamber when you explored the area, don’t worry. You won’t miss anything. Should You Fight Flying Dragon Agheel?

Once you find the Twinbalde, you may wish to beat the dragon as well. It is located on the opposite side of where you find the Twinblade. Go to the northeast of the Ruins and you will find it close to a bonfire in the shallow waters. Agheel is an optional boss that you can easily skip. You can take the Twinblade, explore the Ruin, and leave. Defeating the dragon or not won’t impact your main story progression. Still, you can choose this fight to test your fighting skills and the abilities of the newly acquired weapon.

If you are planning to fight the dragon, let me tell you as an early optional boss, this dragon is deadly. Though its attacks are predictable, his flying mechanism gives him an upper hand from the beginning. Ranged attacks are best for defeating the dragon, and his attacks deal tons of damage when hit. The only relaxing part is that the dragon has only a handful of moves and players can easily predict which one is coming. So, dodging them is easy.

For this fight, we recommend you to have Spirit Ashes to summon. You can either summon Skeletal Spearmen or Lone Wolves. If you are confused about whether these Spirit Summons will really work, well, you are right. They won’t help you fight, but they can distract the Dragon, so you can get some room to prepare your attacks. They will shift the enemy’s attention from you. Anyway, this fight is completely your choice.
