Pokemon Go Needs to Copy EA FC 25 and Remove Redundant Features Now
Pokemon Go has a weird feature that several players find useless in the game, and it only makes the gameplay more complicated.
- Pokemon Go has a berry-feeding feature for Buddy Pokemon that players think has no use in the gameplay.
- Berries are not easily acquired, and the in-game animation of feeding the berries is slow.
- Niantic can easily take the example of Electronic Arts to respond to the demands of fans.
Nintendo’s Pokemon series is one of the best-selling franchises, and players love to set out on an adventure with these cute creatures. However, this is an exclusive Nintendo Switch series; therefore, to expand the game’s fanbase, in 2016, Niantic, in collaboration with Nintendo, introduced Pokemon Go. This is one of the most popular AR games, available on Android and iOS devices.
Despite massive popularity worldwide, Pokemon Go fans are only partially satisfied with what they have received. There are loads of complaints they often place, but currently, fans are all unanimously demanding one certain feature be removed. Most of them don’t find the feature useful at all.
Pokemon Go Players Want the Game to Remove One Useless Feature
Pokemon Go has been maintaining a stable fanbase since it was released, but with time, players are getting frustrated with certain features, and one of them is feeding berry to the buddy Pokemon to have them join any adventure with the master. A lot of players are not happy with it, and they don’t find any relevance in this action.
A few days back, Arthian90 took this matter on the Pokemon Go subreddit and mentioned,
“The extra steps just feel so tedious and unnecessary, especially since berries are so plentiful and we don’t get much candy from our buddies anyway.”
He opined that removing this feature won’t really give any unfair advantage to anyone, but the gameplay experience will be smoother.
As this argument landed, players joined the Reddit player and supported his opinion on removing the Pokemon Go berry-feeding feature.
Following the same tone, a lot of frustrated players expressed the same thing.
Games sometimes listen to players; sometimes they ignore the demands. However, recently, Electronic Arts has set up an example that Niantic can follow.
Pokemon Go Can Take the Path That EA FC 25 Has Taken to Satisfy Fans
EA FC 25 hasn’t yet been released. The game is scheduled to be released on September 27, 2024. However, a few weeks ago, this game set an example by removing contracts from Ultimate Team.
Up until EA FC 24, the FUT mode required contract items to play a match. For a long time, players have been expressing their dissatisfaction about this feature, and finally, EA has listened to them. A few weeks ago, EA confirmed that it would be removed in the next entry. So, EA FC 25 won’t have the contract items anymore.
Previously, EA FC did the same thing when players started protesting against the fitness cards. Since Ultimate Team mode was introduced in 2008, players were unhappy with the fitness items, as they unanimously found them useless.
Though these cards used to give a boost to players who suffered from stamina fatigue, gamers found them annoying. However, after some protests, EA finally removed fitness cards from EA FC 25.
Therefore, Pokemon Go players hoping for Niantic to remove the berry-feeding feature make sense. But whether Pokemon Go will listen to the demands isn’t yet sure.
In the meantime, don’t miss out on interesting news where players initially got confused about an item that the latest Pokemon Go update has brought.
