Fortnite’s Massive Change Is Going to Revolutionize the Game, and It’s Almost Here
Fortnite fans are eagerly waiting to see the result of the change that Epic Games has made to the Battle Pass starting from Chapter 5 Season 4.
- Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 is about to come, and this will bring a revolutionary change to the game.
- As Epic Games has already stated, Battle Pass skins are no longer exclusive to the Battle Pass owners.
- Players seem to have accepted this decision willingly, though some players are still angry with the developer.
Changes are kind of inevitable, and this rule is specifically true in the world of gaming. Often, developers revise old features and introduce new rules to make games more interesting. Not always do these changes make players happy about what they are getting, but there’s no alternative but to accept them. Recently, Fortnite has listed itself on the list.
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 is only a few hours away, and Marvel fans are excited about getting an exclusive season to experience lots of characters from their favorite movies and comics. However, there’s still an announcement that has created a wave of disappointment among Fortnite players because the Battle Pass is losing its exclusivity.
Fortnite Battle Passes Won’t Be the Same From Chapter 5 Season 4
Since Epic Games introduced Fortnite, players are well aware of the Battle Pass system. Not only in Fortnite but also in every other shooter game or battle royale, Battle Pass works similarly. Breaking tradition, Epic Games has taken a path-breaking decision.
On August 7, 2024, Epic Games announced that Fortnite Battle Pass skins won’t be exclusive anymore. Starting in 2017, skins that used to be part of a Battle Pass never came to the Item Shop for non-Battle Pass players to purchase. Suddenly, the rule changed, and from the upcoming season, Battle Pass skins can be found in the Item Shop 18 months after the Battle Pass expires.
This has created resentment among the Battle Pass owners, as most of them grind for those exclusive skins. While this topic is a hot one currently, Shiina, one of the authentic Fortnite leakers, has brought it to X and mentioned that it’s only a few hours and “new Battle Passes will never be exclusive again.”
This decision is indeed a revolutionary one that Epic Games has taken, though the consequences are still unknown. However, a lot of players seem to be happy about getting old skins that they have missed.
Fortnite Players Are Supporting Epic Games After the Initial Wave of Disappointment
Initially, when this decision was announced, players got angry about the Battle Pass losing its exclusivity. They even referred to the Fortnite Crew subscription to point out that Epic Games must do the same with the subscription service as well.
However, with time, the anger seemed to get pacified, and players are now appreciating the decision Fortnite has taken. Bringing Battle Pass skins to the Item Shop after 18 months will allow those players who have missed the Battle Pass of a particular season to get the skins.
This is what makes most players excited about the decision. Someone mentioned that the rule is annoying, but he is happy because he can now get the Spider-Gwen skin.
Some players even mentioned it as an “amazing” update.
From the responses, it seems like players have accepted this decision. Still, several players mentioned that there’s no reason for them to purchase the Battle Pass anymore.
Whether players will purchase the Battle Pass this season or not is still a mystery.
But Epic Games has made an epic decision, for sure.
While waiting for this, don’t forget to check what players are expecting from the Fortnitemare event this season.
