Unfortunately, this mini-boss doesn’t come alone. Instead, it brings a companion Crucible Knight with him. While a single Crucible Knight is enough tough to take down, players can easily guess what will happen when they try to defeat two of them together. Instead, these enemies can give you a hard fight. Coming to the Crucible Knight Duo, these two knights can be found inside one of the toughest dungeons of the game- Auriza Hero’s Grave. It is located in the Altus Plateau. If you check the map, you will find it underneath the Capital Rampart Site of Grace. How to Prepare for the Crucible Knight Ordovis Fight in Elden Ring?
The first thing that you must know before going to beat the Crucible Knight Ordovis is that you must not be below level 85. If you are below level 85, it will be hard fighting these knights. During this fight, the two knights will attack simultaneously, so it will be hard to deal with them individually. Generally, dealing with enemies individually, makes things easier for players, but these two knights won’t give you the chance easily.
The first thing that we recommend is to have a Spirit Ash to summon. If you are not sure, which one is best for this fight, let me help you with it. You can easily go for the Mimic Tear. This is the best summon as it imitates you. So it will also have the same weapon that you have and will deal an equal amount of damage.
It is better if you avoid doing Holy and Magic damage as these two knights won’t get damaged. Additionally, Frostbite and Bleed damage also won’t work for them. These two strongest knights are immune to all these elemental damages. Instead, players must try inflicting Scarlet Rot or deal Lightning Damage.

Tips to Defeat Crucible Knight Ordovis in Elden Ring
If you have faced Crucible Knights before, you are more or less aware of their attacks. Their attacks don’t really differ much. Both your enemies will follow the same sword and spear movements as the regular ones, but this time they add a few different moves to give the fight a new height of intensity.
Though both the enemies will give you enough trouble defeating them, the regular Crucible Knight will still be a little easy to take down. He won’t have lots of new attacks to deal with. Try avoiding his attacks and focus on dealing damage whenever you get the opportunity. Once you have defeated the Crucible Knight, you must focus on Ordovis and his attacks. It will help you focus on the incoming attacks without worrying about any other enemy.
Ordovis has a few deadly attacks. This boss has a Greatsword and this can be a great reason for players to defeat the knight. However, the boss will use the Greatsword to launch attacks. Using the sword he will launch the deadliest attack of the fight, where he will spin his blade rapidly behind him, and then slam it down on the player. If this attack lands successfully and you get hit by it, you will instantly lose a chunk of your health, in case, you may die.
Fortunately, this attack affects a small area and players can easily run off its range. This attack will give you time to run backward. As soon as you see the boss preparing for the attack, leave everything and run away.
Another dangerous move of Ordovis is the Shield Charge move where the boss, slams the horned shield every now and then. Throughout the fight, you will see the boss, hiding behind the Horned Shield frequently. He will use this strategy for the most part. However, sometimes, he will charge the shield to deal damage to players. Dodge it by jumping to any side before he slams the shield.

To defeat the boss, you must keep an eye out for his attacks while dealing damage to him whenever you get a chance. If you have Rotten Breath or Scorpion’s Stinger, you can easily use them to inflict Scarlet Rot on them. It will reduce your problems to a great extent as it will constantly drain their health. You only need to deal some damage to them whenever possible and focus on avoiding their attacks.
This fight will take some time as both enemies are enough challenging to defeat. But if you keep your patience and don’t rush the process, you can easily defeat Crucible Knight Ordovis. Once you defeat these two bosses you will get lots of rewards including 28,000 Runes, Crucible Axe Helm and Armor, Crucible Gauntlets and Crucible Greaves, and most importantly, players will get Ordovis’s Greatsword. That’s the main attraction of this fight. This Greatsword hits hard and deals both Physical and Holy damage. Once you acquire it, you can use it to take down some of the major Elden Ring Bosses.
