How to Summon Pals in Palworld
If you have been playing Palworld, you must have got the point that this game has tons of features that players need to understand and use to make their journey smooth. Though the Pal-catching process is the most exciting one, the key element of Palworld is survival. To survive you need to understand several techniques and summoning your Pals is the most important among them. This is natural that you may not be aware of the process. So, this guide will give you a complete walkthrough of how to summon pals in Palworld.
Pals are scattered throughout the map and once you reach level 2, you can make Pal Sphere to catch them and add them to your base. These Pals will do most of your work as the game has made Pals for every activity. From fighting to farming, every in-game activity can be done by Pals. But you must also know how to summon Pals when required.
Summoning Pals for Fight
Once you capture a Pal, it will automatically be added to your roster. You don’t need to give any extra effort to add them to your party. Now, once you go out to explore the map, you can take five Pals with you. As you roam around the map and explore new locations, you will eventually face bosses of the game. If you want your pals to fight, or just accompany you during your exploration process, you can summon them.
To begin, first, check the lower left side of your screen to determine which Pal you have selected by default. If you are a PC player, press E to aim down, or toss the creature onto the ground. Once the Pal is out, it will follow you wherever you go. If you are at your base, this Pal will eventually start doing its work.
Summoning Pals to the Base
When you are at your base, you may sometimes need your Pals to help you with work. It is not wrong to engage them in work. But it has a proper process to go through. If you are not sure how to do it, the first thing is to catch the Pal that you want to summon. Next, you must have empty slots to summon a Pal. If all the slots of your base are already full, you can’t summon new Pals. In that case, you have to upgrade your base to increase slots.
If you have captured the Pal and also have slots to summon it, go to the Palbox. Interact with it and open the Palbox Management tab. When the next window comes, you will see all your captured Pals. Below that box, another box will come which says, “Pals at the base.” Irrespective of your platform, this box will arrive a similar way and you have to drag your desired Pal to the empty box to summon it to the base.

Once a Pal is summoned to the base, it will automatically assign itself the work that suits its abilities. You don’t need to bother about assigning them tasks. But if you specifically want a Pal to do a task urgently, but it is doing something else, you have to pick it up and throw it near the equipment or location where it has to do the task. For example, if you want Foxsparks to light a specific furnace, but the creature is busy with another one, pick it up from there and throw it in front of the furnace you want it to work on.
Can I Summon Multiple Pals At a Time?
If you have seen some players continuing their exploration process with multiple Daedream around them, this can certainly raise the question of whether you can summon multiple Pals simultaneously or not. Well, as of writing, we haven’t found this feature working for any other Pal, except for Daedream. But this requires you to follow a different process.
Daedream is one of the best starting Pals in the game and players can summon multiple of them by using Daedream’s Necklace. If you want to craft it, interact with the Pal Gear Workbench and craft the necklace by using the following ingredients:
- 5x Leather
- 10x Fiber
- 10x Paldium Fragment
Among the above-mentioned items, leather is the toughest one to find. These rare resources can be hardly dropped by Wild Pals like Direhowl and Foxpark. Though Foxpark can be found anytime and it is an early-stage Pal to get near your spawn location, Direhowl can only be found at night. However, none of them drop leather for sure. So the chance is 50-50 to get leather by defeating them.
On the other hand, if you are looking for Fiber, chop the trees near your base. Don’t worry about chopping them down as they will grow again. Alternatively, if you have wood and a Crusher, put wood into the Crusher to get Fiber.
Finally, the Paldium Fragments are one of the earliest resources in Palworld. You can find blue glowing stones on the ground. Hit them and harvest Paldium Fragments from them. Once you get all three ingredients, interact with the Pal Gear Workbench to craft the necklace.

However, before that unlock and build the Pal Gear Workbench using 10x Paldium Fragment, 10x Wood, and 2x Cloth. Though the first two can easily be acquired, you need to craft cloth using wool that Pals often drop upon defeat. If you are unaware let me tell you the Pal Gear Workbench unlocks at level 6, through the Technology Menu.
Once you have the Daedream’s Necklace, you can summon multiple Daedrem at a time and these allies will be helpful during your exploration and even fighting enemies. But ensure you have captured Daedrem before you summon them. These Pals spawn during the night.
That’s everything you need to know about summoning Pals in Palworld. Without Pals, your Palworld journey won’t be exciting. But, capturing and summoning is not everything you need to do. Instead, you have to take care of your Pals by feeding them and healing them when they get injured or get sick.
