Helldivers 2 Fans Need to Accept the Harsh Truth About the Game
Helldivers 2 has one core element that players should accept.
Helldivers 2 has been going through a rocky path since this game was released. Despite being a game running for almost six months, it has never gone out of discussion, and mostly, that’s because of the controversies and complaints it has created. Though Arrowhead has tried solving a bunch of them, players are still not happy with what they are getting.
The gameplay of Helldivers 2 has faced several criticisms from players. Sometimes because of its stillness; otherwise, because of its inability to bring new content to expand the gameplay. While players often get frustrated about the missions and the enemy types, a new thing has been highlighted through a post by one Helldivers 2 player.
Helldivers 2 Players Once Again Pointed Out an Issue That Arrowhead Should Have Considered Already
The moment one steps into Helldivers 2, war is the primary thing they need to go through. The game presents players with loads of weapons and stratagems to beat bugs and robots on different planets, and this process is kind of a never-ending one. Even though a lot of players find these wars pointless, none have ever raised the issue aggressively.
Recently, on Reddit, Heptanitrocubane57 elaborated on the point and highlighted several relevant crux that hint at a never-ending war. To strengthen their argument, the user even attached an interview of Johan Pilestedt, in which he mentioned playing the game forever once players purchase it.
On Reddit, about the never-ending war, the user mentioned,
“Yeah. That’s… the whole point ? The devs stated that they don’t want the game to have wars, but A never ending war. The war IS pointless, we could have wone already if it wasn’t for super earth keeping the status quo intact.”
They even find the economy of Super Earth to be the reason behind failing missions. According to them, lack of reinforcement and only four players on the ground fighting the enemies are the reasons behind failed missions.
They mentioned that if Super Earth wanted players to win, it would have given them a boost. But it never did, despite having a solid economy.
“Noticed the “strong economy” add in the destroyers ? It’s not showing that they need ppl to spend more to counter a dip, to keep money flowing. Noooo. It shows a growing graph, a growing economy.”
No matter how annoying the never-ending war concept sounds, players need to accept this fact to continue playing Helldivers 2.
Helldivers 2 Players Agreed With the Never-Ending War Idea and Expressed Their Disappointment
Helldivers 2 has created multiple controversies already, and lots of players have abandoned the game. Once again, when the Reddit post surfaced, players jumped into supporting the poster’s statements.
Some of them expressed that the war was not the problem. The actual problem is that players have been fighting on the same planets from the beginning.
Some players commented that Arrowhead didn’t plan properly, as it never expected this game to perform really well.
No matter the reason, the main point is that players need to adjust to the fact that the war system in Helldivers 2 is never-ending and the progression of the story is slow.
However, it’s time to see what the upcoming major update will bring for the Helldivers on August 6, 2024.
Whether it will meet expectations or not will be revealed within a few days.
