Pokemon Go’s Next Adventure Week Is One You Won’t Want to Miss
Niantic looks like it has returned to its winning ways with the latest Adventure Week Taken Over event for Pokemon Go.
Pokemon Go has largely been a great addition to AR games based on finding and capturing Pokemon in the real world. The game’s unique setting and excellent mechanics have made it the definitive Pokemon experience for many fans of the popular anime and has managed to capture players who may not have been familiar with the iconic franchise before they tried it out.
However, things have not gone as well as developer and publisher Niantic may have liked in recent times, with the game’s previous Adventure Week event receiving a lot of negative feedback from its players who were dissatisfied with its implementation and lack of crucial features that would have made it exciting to play.
Pokemon Go Takes Bad News in Its Stride
While Pokemon Go players are largely happy with the game, keeping its thriving community alive while enjoying many amusing interactions with other players, its latest Adventure Week could be considered a blip in Niantic’s otherwise stellar record of keeping players engaged. A poor response to many features was sure to have been quite discouraging for the developers.

However, the studio seems to have taken the feedback to heart and bounced back with a new Adventure Week that seeks to earn back its players’ trust with some rare finds made available for them to capture and utilize while also addressing major concerns from the previous event with aplomb.
Adventure Week Taken Over Comes to Pokemon Go’s Rescue
Announced on the game’s official website, the new Adventure Week named Taken Over features Team Rocket in a takeover event that spans four days in which players have a chance to unlock Shadow variants of Cresselia and Lugia, powerful Pokemon that could be quite handy for players long after the event ends.

What’s more, the event features the debut of other great additions to Pokemon Go’s roster, all of which include Shadow variants that players could potentially unlock. It’s important to note that, unlike the previous Adventure Week, these variants are not limited to Eggs but can be obtained through Elite Raids – a major complaint that players had with the previous event.
Field Research Tasks are also set to appear along with a bunch of excellent rewards and bonuses that could entice players to try and complete them. These include both Charged and Fast TMs alongside Mysterious Components, which are valuable upgrade materials that players would certainly appreciate if they are able to get their hands on them.
These additions to the upcoming Adventure Week are sure to fix the mistakes of the previous event and earn back the goodwill of Pokemon Go’s fanbase – something that Niantic would certainly want in the aftermath of its disastrous Adventure Week.
It seems that the company is able to listen to its players and make corrections to its event roadmap in a way that makes its community feel appreciated and valued – an important skill to have with live-service games that are largely supported by a loyal player base.
