Elden Ring is one of the biggest hits of 2022 that offers players a massive world where dangers and mysteries await every step. As you progress and explore new locations, you will eventually explore different parts of the story. Of course, Elden Ring’s story is one of the most exciting features of the game, but nothing can beat the boss fights. Among these, what often goes unnoticed is the wide range of items and equipment that the game offers. So, this guide will help you find a little part of them: the Legendary Spells. What are Legendary Spells in Elden Ring?

If you have been grinding through the Elden Ring, you must be aware that the game has numerous spells to get throughout your journey. But not all spells are equally effective. Only a few of them can give your character’s potential a substantial boost. The legendary spells are the most powerful spells in the game. In Elden Ring, you only find seven sorceries and incantations that are marked as Legendary.

All these seven legendary sorceries and incantations have their own stats that will massively impact your damage output, making challenging fights easier. However, these spells are challenging to acquire. Some of them can be acquired naturally as you progress and complete quests to defeat bosses. But the remaining legendary spells require some extra effort to get.

Comet Azur

Among the seven legendary spells, the first one you should look for is the Comet Azur. This can be found after you have progressed a considerable distance through the storyline and reached the Altus Plateau. Once there, make your way to the south of the Gelmir Hero’s Grave site of Grace. There you will find Primeval Sorcerer Azur. He is located behind Demi-Queen Maggie. Defeat the boss and interact with him. At the interaction ends, he will grant you the Comet Azur spell.

Players need to have 60 Intelligence Points if they want to use the spell. But when used, it will fire off a gigantic laser beam that will quickly deplete even the most challenging bosses’ health bars.

Ranni’s Dark Moon

Ranni’s Dark Moon, the name itself says the source to get it. This legendary spell is connected to the Ranni’s questline and players must progress through it if they want to get the spell. This spell requires you to solve a puzzle. To begin with it, you must progress through Ranni’s questline, until you reach the Moonlight Altar Site of Grace. Once you have unlocked it, make your way to Chelona’s Rise. It is located on the south side of the Site of Grace. Once there, solve the wild beast puzzle and vanquish three turtles. As soon as you solve the puzzle, you can access the Rise. Enter it and at the top, you will find the spell you are looking for. This spell will incarnate a cold, dark moon and launch it at the enemies.

Founding Rain of Stars

This sorcery can be found in the later stages of the game. Once you access the Mountaintops of the Giants, you can start looking for this spell. Make your way to the Heretical Rise. It seems easy, but the process is enough complicated. Once you locate the Heretical Rise and try to enter, you will find that a magical barrier prevents you from doing it.

Make your way to the Snow Valley Ruins Overlook Site of Grace and approach the Rise from the back side. Locate the invisible bridge that connects the Rise’s backside entrance to the northern cliffs. Once you enter the Heretical Rise and reach the top of the area, you will find the spell inside a chest. When used, it will shower a rain of stars for a while on the enemy to drain a significant amount of their health.

Stars of Ruin

Another spell that players should not miss in the game. After you get Comet Azure, head to the Limgrave’s Waypoint Ruins. There you must interact with Sorceress Sellen who will direct you to Master Lusat in the Sellia Hideaway. You will find this area in Caelid. Go deep into the hideaway and you will find a magic barrier protecting Master Lusat. You have to break the barrier and interact with the NPC. He will give you the spell.

Players need to have 43 Intelligence Points to use it and it will fire twelve dark shooting stars that chase foes.

Elden Stars

If you are finding Elden Stars, make your way to the Deeproot Depths. Precisely, you have to go to the Great Waterfall Crest Site of Grace. Progress until you reach an elevated cave. Go past the ants and eventually you will find a dead body. The dead body has the spell that you are looking for.

This incantation is special as its name resembles the game name. Anyway, players need to have 50 Faith to use the incantation and upon using, it will fire a bunch of small and large golden stars at enemies. While the small ones break the shield of the enemy, the large ones blust, dealing massive damage.

Flame of the Fell God

This incantation is comparatively easy to get. Go to the southern shores of Liurnia to find the Prison and inside it, you will find Adan, Thief of Fire. He is the one who will drop this incantation. Players must have 41 Faith to use this incantation. Once you use the Flame of the Fell God, it will send a giant fireball toward the enemies.

Greyolls Roar

Greyolls Roar is the most troublesome to get. To get this spell, make your way to the Fort Haight in Caelid. At the entrance of the fort, you will spot a giant dragon sleeping. This fight will be a time-consuming one as the enemy has 100,000 HP. Though he won’t attack you back, you still need to invest a good amount of time in this fight. Once the fight ends and you defeat the dragon, he will drop five Dragon Hearts.

Gather them and make your way to the southern section of Caelid, at the Church of Dragon Communion. You can trade these five Dragon Hearts to get Greyolls Roar incantation. Once acquired, players can use it for 28 Faith and 17 Arcane. As you activate it, it will reduce the attack and defense of all the enemies within its range.
