Xbox’s Baffling Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Decision Will Have You Wondering if It Knows What to Do
Is PlayStation responsible for the publicity of Black Ops 6? Well, Xbox's weird behavior may be the indication of that.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is one of the most anticipated games of this year, with millions of players excitedly waiting for its official launch. Activision has already launched the trailer for the game, which has increased the hype to a new level. Even the official release date has been scheduled for the last week of October 2024. In the meantime, the first beta version of the game will come to give players a glimpse of the gameplay.
Since the beta for the popular shooter has been announced, players are eagerly waiting for it, and naturally, they are expecting to see the advertisement for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta on every platform where it is going to be released. But surprisingly, Xbox is doing something unexpected that makes players doubt its intentions.
PlayStation Is Leaving Xbox Behind in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta Advertisement
Black Ops 6 will be released on almost all the renowned platforms, so naturally, the beta version will also come on all of them. Though it’s still more than a month before the beta of the game becomes accessible, all gaming platforms have started their publicity, except for Xbox. It seems like Microsoft is not willing to sell the game through advertisements.
Recently, a fan shared a post on X (formerly Twitter), where they shared screenshots of two consoles to show how Xbox is not interested in the game. While the home screen of PlayStation 5 has the advertisement for the Call of Duty game at the top, Xbox doesn’t have anything.
Of course, they found it strange and shared their thoughts on the post. In the reply section, other players have started assuming the probable reason for PlayStation showing it in a big way and Xbox having nothing about it.
Some players assumed that PlayStation might have received responsibility for the publicity of the game.
However, some go a little further, saying that PlayStation requires Call of Duty sales to keep the PS Store alive.
Well, the exact thing can’t be said at this point. Whether Xbox will do some publicity or not is completely up to it.
When Will Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta Start?
During previous years, the beta version of Call of Duty games used to be come to PlayStation first. However, this time, the rule has been changed, and the beta version of the game will be available on all the platforms at the same time. Even Xbox Game Pass subscribers will get the chance to get early access to the beta.
The early access will begin on August 30 and will be continued until September 4. Once the early access ends, the open beta will be launched on September 6 and will end on September 9.
Of course, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has been the latest hot topic in the gaming community, especially since Xbox has restructured its Game Pass system and introduced a tier without Day 1 games. The upcoming game will be available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Xbox Game Pass for Console at launch.
The game has created massive hype, and usually, Call of Duty games don’t disappoint fans. Hopefully, Black Ops 6 will maintain the tradition well, but until it launches, don’t miss out on other interesting news, like a change that will probably bring good luck to Mortal Kombat 1.
