“Heard this game was in trouble”: Insomniac’s Wolverine PS5 Game Suffers Another Setback After Losing Narrative Lead to CD Projekt Red
Two months after the art director of Insomniac Games, the narrative head of Marvel's Wolverine follows the same path.
Insomniac’s latest biggest project, Marvel’s Wolverine, is going through a series of troubles. This game is currently under development, and Sony hasn’t stated a release date for the game. However, setbacks are a constant thing in this game, as it seems, and months after losing its art director to CD Projekt Red, once again another key person in the project has left Insomniac to join CD Projekt Red.
Marvel’s Wolverine is an installment in the Marvel’s Spider-Man series. This game is reportedly going to tell an original story of the Marvel Comics character Wolverine. However, the development process of the game is not smooth, as Insomniac is losing one key team member after another to CD Projekt Red.
After Art Director Habibipour, Insomniac Loses Its Narrative Head to CDPR During the Development Process of Marvel’s Wolverine
Marvel’s Wolverine PS5’s narrative director, Mary Kenney, has announced her departure from Insomniac Games on July 9, 2024. Mary has been part of Insomniac Games for the last five years and contributed her creative storylines to several renowned titles like Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
Reportedly, she was part of the team for Marvel’s Wolverine and once again was working to show her creativity in forming the storyline and character creation for the game. According to fans and critics, her departure will be a great hit to the team, unless the development process of the game is done.

However, it seems like fans are divided into different teams and have started discussing the issue on X.
The reason for the departure is still unknown, and obviously, fans are curious about it.
Some fans believe that since the narrative is complete, her leaving Insomniac Games won’t have any impact.
Another player called this situation “Trouble in paradise.”
On the other hand, CD Projekt Red is gathering great minds for its upcoming sequel to Cyberpunk 2077.
CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 Sequel Is Going to Be One of the Most-Awaited Titles With Three Life Paths to Choose From
The sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, code-named Project Orion, is under development, and as the game director once revealed, this game is going to be one of the studio’s best games where players can get the option of choosing their life path before they select their character. The game is reportedly going to offer three life paths, called a Nomad’s Path, a Street Kid’s Path, and a Corporate Path.

However, as players keep progressing, all three life paths will eventually merge into a single storyline. So, whatever life path a player chooses won’t matter in the long run; at least that’s how it seems from the current updates.
Since the life-path feature is out, players have started assuming what they are going to get from each of these life-paths. But there’s no official information about anything. Apart from that, the sequel is reportedly switching to a third-person perspective, and that’s the reason a lot more changes will come.
The release date of the game is unknown, and the developer is maintaining its silence about the development of Project Orion. So, when this game will come, it can’t be said for sure. Therefore, keep checking gaming news to stay updated. For example, don’t avoid the record-breaking success of 7 Days to Die as it gears up for its current-gen release.
