Video game franchises being adapted to live-action counterparts seem to have become a norm, instead of an exception. But it can be hard for the silver screen to properly capture the essence of what made the original game great in the first place.

The Fallout franchise suffers no such problems with the first season of its show on Amazon Prime. Satirical, well-paced, and stuffed to the brim with Easter eggs and references, the show’s 8-episode run is very well connected to its source material. But with all that in the past, and a bunch of subtle yet significant changes, here are a few ways you can get Fallout 4 games to look like your new favorite TV show:

6. Lucy ‘Okey Dokey’ Icon:

Replacing the usual Vault Boy logo from the game with this unique rendition of Lucy from the show, this mod may not seem like much. But when you consider just how much the Vault Boy logo appears across the game, this can be quite the change, adding a fun bit of the TV show to the game’s original content.

Stick with it for a while and the original logo will soon feel too vanilla for you.

5. HD Fallout Trailer Intro Conversion

From creator MadGax, this mod simply replaces the intro section of Fallout 4 with the teaser trailer for the series. Like the logo, it is a subtle replacement that seems almost trivial but can be one of those changes that you simply never go back on.

4. Fallout Series 10mm Sound Replacer

Doing exactly what its name promises, this mod replaces the in-game semi-auto firing sound on 10mm weapons with the one from the TV show. It’s quite the nifty fix for anyone trying to make Fallout 4 feel like a TV show. It can work very well with other mods in this list, allowing you to really make an immersive recreation of the show for your playthrough.

3. Fallout TV show – Brotherhood Music Replacer

Like the Sound Replacer, this mod adds a subtle change to the in-game music, specific to the Brotherhood faction. It replaces their music with tunes from the TV show. Its only a matter of time before someone recreates Maximus anyway, so you might as well slap this one on to really make him feel at home.

#2: Cooper Howard Billboard (TV Show)

Speaking of adding characters from the TV show into Fallout 4, this mod from MrBloodJack adds posters of Cooper Howard as Vault Boy from the TV show to the game. It replaces billboards and posters with Howard from the game. Like many of the mods on this list, it is certainly a subtle touch, but significant enough to make a difference over time!

#1: Presets for Cooper Howard and Lucy MacLean

From VaultGirl, this mod contains character presets for characters Cooper Howard and Lucy MacLean, with nigh-accurate depictions of their silver-screen counterparts. It features presets for Howard’s human and ghoul forms, with incredible detail.

You could also slap on another mod for Lucy’s backpack to replace the number 111 with the show’s number 33 if you’re really into recreating the show in-game!

It’s very likely that the game’s active community of modders will continue to add more layers of the TV show to the game. It’s also almost certain that the show will continue to draw inspiration from the games that made it happen – like that almost perfect recreation of a vault’s interior!
