5. Carefully Design Your Character

In Dragon’s Dogma 2, players get the chance to design their character based on their preferences. Either you use the Character Creator App to make the characters, or the in-game character creator app to customize your characters, you only get a single chance to design them. Once you have set a specific body type, face and other features of your Arisen, there’s no way to change them. You can change the Vocation of your Arisen, but not the physical features. If you have started your journey as a Human, you have to complete the journey as a human. You can’t be a beastren once you have finalized your decision. 

Additionally, the character import works only a single time in the game. The moment you have imported your pre-made characters to the game, you have lost the option to use this feature again. Even if you delete the save file and start a fresh journey, you won’t get the import option. However, deleting the save file will delete your imported characters.

4. Understand the Importance of Pawns

Throughout the game, Pawns are the only companions of the players. While you can customize your main Pawn character, you can hire the other Pawn characters from the game. You can interact with them and hire them as you meet them on the streets and other places. Otherwise, you can get them from Riftstones. Among these two methods, we recommend using the Riftstones to get Pawns. 

Throughout the game, players will find several Riftstones to activate and interacting with them will open the option to choose a Pawn that matches their requirement. At the Riftstone, sometimes, you will find a few Pawns created by other players who are more powerful than the ones you have. You can try hiring them for your benefit.

Also, it is always wise to listen to your Pawns. As Pawns travel through the Rifts and accompany other Arisens, they are more aware of the map and the hidden treasures. So, whenever your Pawns comment on hidden chests or something take it seriously and try to find the treasure.

3. Carefully Deal with the Bosses

Boss fights are the most attractive feature of RPGs. From the beginning Dragon’s Dogma 2 has powerful enemies to feature and players must not take them lightly even if they appear during early stages of the game. Though some enemies seem to be unbeatable, always remember, all of them have weak spots. Players only need to figure out the weak spots of the enemies and the fight will be easy.

Additionally, if you find you are not powerful enough to fight a boss, don’t hesitate to escape the location. Bosses don’t generally bother your presence, until you attack them. So, don’t call for the fight, if the boss is more powerful than your Arisen. 

Finally, notice the healthbars of the bosses. A few of DD2 bosses have multiple health bars. If a boss’ health bar has little dots below it, this indicates this boss has multiple health bars and you have to fight him until the last one. This feature will sometimes make the fights longer.

2. Use Oxcarts for Fast Travel

This is another important feature to know. As you roam around the map, you often see oxcarts going from one location to another. While traveling makes exploration better, still, it is impossible to walk to the destination every time, especially if you are trying to complete a quest. Board the Oxcarts and you will reach your destination fast. However, Oxcarts have a fixed destination. So, check where the cart is going before you step on it. 

1. Combine Items From Time to Time

Dragon’s Dogma 2 doesn’t give players a huge inventory to collect and carry all the items available in the world. However, it still has a flexible item combine system where players can easily mix and match their inventory items to create something new and free up some space. For example, if you have an apple and Greenwarish plant, you can combine them to make Salubrious Drought which has more healing power. Therefore, whenever you get a chance combine some of your items and create powerful potions and other equipment.
